Middle East 2006 v 2.0

YAY!! About time there is a modern middle east scenario. Good work. :D

Whenever I go to the bottom of the units part of the civiclopedia, I get an error entry and the game exits....:(

I have the exact same problem, any way to fix it? It seems to be the T80 that makes the error.

Hi Klakun,

I'm not sure if the download contains a T-80small.pcx file.

You basically need to match up two elements.

take a look at the path listed, is there a T-80small.pcx shown?

If it's there, is there a simple spelling error between the actual file you find and the error message? If so, correct the file name actually found through explorer to match the one in the error message.

If there is no file named as such there, you can simply copy another from any other unit listed in \art\civilopedia\units and give the copy a name of T-80small.pcx.

That or take a look in the actual unit graphics folder.
which is in \art\units\T-80.

If there's a T-80small.pcx there, copy it into the \art\civilopedia\units folder.

hope this helps.

Cheers,
Xatokuom

Minor bump.
I have played this (to about turn 3 because of the extreme lag of turn progression) with both Iran and Palestinian Authority, and I noticed that in the place of the year it merely states "Airfield", and that if you click a certain amount of times in the city view you change the multitude of Airfields into Week 0, 2006. Another glitch that I noticed was in the pre-game screen where you select your nation and difficulty, that in the place of Random the text states DIFFICULTY and underneath Chieftain it states (Hardest) and under Sid it states (Your Rivals). Pretty weird.

I just spent 10 minutes waiting for Atomic Gamer to begin the download & another 10 minutes downloading only to get a message saying, "The file you have downloaded is invalid or corrupt."

Nice Game Idea about the curent situation in the Middle East!:goodjob: Tell me what kind of stuff could be used to play this game???

A computer, a monitor, a version of Civ III: Conquests & an internet connection to download the scenario.

The Civilopidea Icons for the T-80 unit are missing, I had the same problem, I will upload my patch for the problem.

Hey but when i replace the text files in CivIII/Conquests/Text why is menu all screwed up? and it doesnt work EVER!! Im new at this can u help me?

Hey mountedantman,

I think you might of placed the files in the wrong folder altogether - can you do a screen dump of where it is?

I would suggest though
1. dump Civ 3, empty the trash, then reload the whole thing
2. check for any updates (more than liely not required)
3. download the files again
4. drag this new folder in Senarios (or Conquests but not both)
5. Startup Civ 3 and try again...
.. also are you using Mac or PC?
.. if you get a problem again try to
a. have a desktop screen dump of the path of your file locations
b. a screenshot of what it looks like

Open the scenario with Civ3 Conquests Edit and add Greece to the Civs that can be played by a human player (in Scenario\Properties...), but I guess Greece wasn't meant to play an important part in this time period ;)
