Military "Pictionary" Game II

Yeah..... next time I will use Google Earth.

I’ll give you one hint. This small conflict was popularized for its high altitude skirmishes.

Its def Pakistan vs someone..... maybe Afghans or Kashmirs?

Well no one has found the correct answer. It is from the Kargil War (1999) between India and Pakistan. The pictures I posted show soldiers from the Indian army. You can tell they are not Taliban or Afghan soldiers because of the uniforms they wear. Also, the turban style found in picture two is Sikh, not Muslim.

Since Point was really close, he should provide the next pic.

sorry i've been a bit slack, this one could be tricky, or not so

Who is this man, and what was he famous for?

Is that Richard Johnson, who allegedly shot Tecumseh (and became VP of the US)?

Obviously it wasn't, since the url where you got the picture is now splashed across it.

sorry that pic is a crap one, didnt realise the url would be all over it. Here is a better one.

And no, it has nothing to do with US history

A Maori warchief? The one that signed the Treaty of (um?) Waikato? I don't really know what the treaty is called but New Zealanders commemorate this day and remember that it brought an end to the Maori wars with the white man.

In WWII the US Navy "lost" just over 600 ships of all types.
The picture below is the precursor to a particularly black period for the USN.
Three destroyers disappeared without trace and over 800 men were listed as Missing in Action (Presumed Lost). What event am I referring to?

Looks like that typhoon Nimitz's fleet ran into in December 1944.
