Milking... the conversation

Well i'm not one to turn down some good ol' spam :D

I'm 16, live in Scotland, and am about to sit my final exams at school. Although I will have a chance to sit more of the same standard next year.
I am the laziest person I know, will do pretty much anything to avoid doing work (kind of a contradiction :hmm:). I am also very stubborn, competetive, and generally quite suspicious about alot of (trivial) things. Saying this, unless I loathe someone (only 1 springs to mind, and is on this forum ;)), then I am never anything but nice to people. Friendly :) I am a morally driven person.
My main interests are Computer games and Football. I do like pretty much every other sport, but I don't play them nearly as often. I dislike science fiction, and any other futuristic/fantasy type thingies --- Lord of the Rings is an exception :) They just seem kinda silly to me.
Since this is the place to spam:
BTW, my photo is added in the pic thread! All invited!

You remind me of someone on Tv, but I can't remember who...
...and, Gainy bo, I've been in scotland a couple of days, and I think I want to retire in Edinbrough, when I'm old enough..
Really great place and view! 2 much rain and fog though..

If you are quite wealthy, Edinburgh would be a nice place to live. It's one of the 'better' Scottish cities, although there isn't really much to do there besides sight-seeing. It's a bit big for my liking also...
Regarding the weather, it is pretty bad in Scotland. Although because of this, you're at no risk from Mosquito's, snakes, dangers spiders etc :) You've also got no problem of staying cool ;)

Edit: Here's a picture of meh in Spain (Good scenery ;)) last summer:

Well it's a SMALL World Chaim......I was an aquaintance of the "B" in BMC.....Scott Boulette at about the time he formed BMC in Houston....he asked me to invest in his new company..........Well apart from figuring out that this was taking place about when you were a baby(!), that's all the personal info I'm sharing for the moment..................AND that if EVER Thunderfall (The Owner of CFC presumably) wants to sell or get investors for CFC.....I'm interested..............AND I'm writing this from London....where my MOST successful company is located! :)

A bit off-topic, but this is the HOF Off-topic thread...

It sounds like you have business' in differant countries, I'm interested to know how starting and running a business in the UK measures upto other areas, mainly the US. Do you not find it overly-beuracratic in Britain? ..and how does business taxation compare on each side of the Atlantic?

Eman... I'm not sure if he is the 'B' (I can't remember their names..), but it is a small world!

I'm not really looking forward to buisness.. I want to design!
Design games mainly, and understanding each small nuance in strategy games.

Ask y? So I can redesign the world correctly this time, and die before seeing it ever accomplished.

But to do that, Eman, I can't sit on my lovely butt and play civ all day (O, the dream) - I have to work! I know my brain is being appreciated, but I want to play!!! and play!!! then design! (and play a bit :) )

So, if you are rich and want to invest.. I can live peacefully with 500000$ for the rest of my life.... or you may still PM me with a more interesting job... (just don't tell Scott Boulette).

Live 2 play!

"overly-beuracratic"............NO KIDDING..........I started a Financial Services business in London in 1984...........talk about Regulations.....Holy Moly!!............AND when people gamble and LOSE money in the stock market in England.........they think "someone/some company/Government" should reimburse them!!!........needless to say, our company has been in and out of the British Press for the last couple of years.
The U.S. on the other hand has a much more mature view to stock market "Gambling".............and even when a company the size of Enron (Fortune 500 #7!!) went belly up....the public that lost millions doesn't expect a "handout". Anyways, the red tape in the U.S. is much less than the U.K.....and if you work your butt off...........you WILL be successful.
AND boogaloo, Scott Boulette left the BMC picture over 20 years ago!......your desires & secrets are SAFE on the NON-HOF thread of the HOF!!! (Keep banging out those Fast Finishes!) ;)

Interesting... so..
No money 4 me?? :(
ok, I'll survive.
I'll just keep beating you until you give up and surrender to all mighty boogaboo!

BTW, business/stocks/markets/banks... they are perhaps the real game, but I find it VERY NOT INTERESTING.
And, since I think money comes and goes, but time just goes.. I'll stick to my hobbies and games as much as I can before I die.
I think it is actually my moto.
Wow.. I found my moto! I can die gladly now!

Anyways, I'm back at Aztecs, so "Bware! Biting JAGs!".

Chaim. (yes, the one with the moto).

I am 15 years old and study at Glasglow High.

Random question: Do you know Caitlin/Kirsten McGregor? I was friends with them when I was younger :) (they lived 2 houses away)

Another question: Eman, would I know any of your companies? I just think it'd be pretty cool to say i've spoken to the owner of *random company*
If so, could you share their names? ;)

Probably not (to 2 both questions).....BUT your parents MAY have bought some of our financial products! :)

Since you're a pretty knowledgeable Civ-Kid GB, I've got a Scottish trivia question for you:
My father was born in Bo'ness (Scotland...for the rest of you):
What is Bo'ness short for? :)

Probably Burgh-ness, or the burgh of ness. The English spell Burgh with an 'O', hence Bo :)
Note, a Burgh is like a state, but kinda on a smaller scale.
And if you want to know how it's pronounced, it is like the ending of Edinburgh :) -- Which is not said in the same way as Pittsburgh. It is pronounced "Bur - uh"

Eman, I got C3C, I'm just waiting to do the nessesary conquests on PTW, before moving to do some conquests and all the milking in C3C..

I'm dying to play it, but it is not yet the time, as I want to totally control the HoF. JAGs = PTW...

But, if you send me money for playing C3C... I can change u know :)

I think EMan should be an inspiration to the younger people on this thread. Here is a man who not only is very successful in business but also finds time to play Civ very well. Apparently you can have your cake and eat it too.

Well, Gainy Bo...is that like Boy in "English"?.....your analysis is "On Target"....The answer is Boroughstouness with Borough pronounced as in Edinburgh! :goodjob:

I hear you 100% there.........you just can't go for the Aztec Fast Finish on C3C because of the 15-Shield-Jaguar-Production-Cost in C3C!.....I wonder if Firaxis raised the value because of DaveMcW's Fast Finish with the Aztecs looooooooong time ago!? :)

Thanks Svar.....I wish you could talk to my 2 ex-wives, 1 fiancee & 5 kids....AND convince THEM!!
I guess there are WORSE things in life to be "Addicted" too! :D

...How long ago did he do that?
15-shield JAGs could do it with some temple of zeus wonder..
But it really depends on the setting.

I'm glad to have passed him on (small, deity}, but have been playing Warcraft3 for too long before doing the expected turnaround to civ.

Well, I'm going out(!) on a Friday night with an old friend who is back from France for 10 days.
We're gonna drink, I'm gonna drink Vodka and smoke joints (in the making...) , and hopefully even meet some nice girls..:crazyeye:  :crazyeye:

Ho Tel-Aviv the great, here I come..

Heh, I went to Auburn with Takeo, and used to run into him around campus and town quite a bit. We had a world history class together, IIRC. Nice guy, but no way would I argue with him about the meaning of his name. ;)

Giany bo sorry i don't know Kristen McGregor.

Eman I was wondering if you could tell me some detailks about your companies. You say doing buisness in the U.K. is a pain in the ass, maybe this is becuase americans are more liberal and flexible in buisness. For example, in America you can hire a person on Monday and fire him on Tuesday. In the U.K. and in most of Europe, you would have to pay him 6 months of salary and find him a job before you can fire him. Maybe this concept of "working rights" is what's making Europe's economy grow so slowly and American's economy boom.
