My buddy got me a trial account to get me hooked, and besides hating creepers (I play with the sound off, so I never hear them coming... been assassinated four times already), I'm liking the game.

That isn't a swamp.
That's what I thought too. Needs mangrove trees or something (something that grows in the water (but maybe won't destroy the water source it's on? might be a bit complex, though). Lily-pads would be another thing to add (floating flower, essentially) Speaking of water, didn't I read or hear somewhere (either on the wiki, or youtube) that they're going to be changing the water color based on the biome like they do for grass? They could make brownish/green water for swamps.
Anyway, I think I fixed my video card issue. The GPU fan had a film of dust. I couldn't see it (save for a corner of the fan), but when I vacuumed it, I saw a film of dust get sucked up. So, my game hasn't crashed the computer yet, and it's running at a blazing 15-30 FPS.

That would make it even more of a pond :/ And mangroves are ine kind of swamp but the swamp biome for Minecraft seems to be more with the temperate areas.

Oh well, that one didn't last long. Lasted about 15-20 minutes then crash. I guess I'll have to do that (or fiddle around with CPU fans that may or may not fit properly - had that problem with my other old computer).
I kind of miss those long iron veins that where you could collect almost an entire stack. It would certainly make me less hesitant about using iron tools. Of course, there's probably a mod for that somewhere.
