MinionNESs I: A New Beginning

To:Celts
From:Scottish

I do not want to begin war with england. It's just his imperialistic views to rule the world makes him want to invade scotland. I just wanted to make a allegiance so you and the goths do not start war. By all means this is not for my sake, its for both of your sakes. Do not bother bickering with eachother. This will just weaken you both and easy targets for the more stronger civilizations.

Didnt kno the rules yet so..........(no excuse)

As soon as i discover sailing, i want to sail the ireland and settle and found the city of Dublin. Raise an army their. Build a navy and sail to Sweden. Establish a colony. Sail to the European mainland. Build a fort/trading post near Hamburg, Germany. Research Road making and build a road south.

Sailing throght the North Sea, we come near to Swedish Mainland. We see smoke that has never been their before. We go there to investigate. we come across a camp of about 70 armed men. We ask who are they. They say they a Norsemen and live in these areas. They take us to their leader, Harald Haaraade. He tells us of the norse journies to the west, and how they discovered a volcanic island (Iceland) which they've settled. We hope the Norsemen tell us a little more about they're sailing techniques.

-Contact With Norsmen
-Embassador to Norseland established

Egypt

With Egypt now the most powerful military and economic country in the world Saladin was pleased. However the culture was another thing. People abroad make light of this through jokes. Normally Saladin would have taken offense to this, but as he walke throug his streets and saw that his citizens were nothing short of barbaric. He decided to start building many great mosques not just the simple kind but what he called "Grand Mosques". These would be some of the greatest religous structures ever built and they would unify all of Egypts people under Muslim law.

Orders

increase culture by building mosques and Grand Mosques
finish expanding east
expand south and southwest
send out explorers to explore new lands and make new contacts
have wise men start research a better type of boat that is capable of sailing in the Seas

To: Carthage
From: Rome

We are the mighty Romans. We will offer a same deal that we offered another tribe we encountered. If you would joinwith our empire, you will maintain a good degree of autonomy and all current citizens of Carthage will become Roman citizens and gain all the rights and duties of Roman citizens. The Etruscans accepted our same offer and they are doing quite well as of now.

ORDERS:
Build army and send it to Africa
Expand in Africa
Offer Carthaginians same deal as Etruscans
Expand north, west, and east with the three armies in north Italy.

Out of the ground rise the great viking warriors. Although it may seem that Norway does not have much, or any type of an army its warriors are great men willing to give their lives for their leader Dicki the Great. Nothing can stop there raids and destruction follows in their path.

Nation: Norway
Ruler: Dicki the Great
Age: Early Ancient Age
Economy: Pathetic
Army: miniscule
Navy: none
Culture: Barbaric
Wonder: N/A

Orders-

Expanding over the the peninsula that Norway lies on . Finally he would like to make contact with the English as soon as possible and establish an alliance.

Sorry Minion, but I have kinda lost interest in the game for a little while, England is not a good nation for me, the game fails for me when I sign up as them. I will definetly rejoin in a little while to KEEP THIS GAME GOING. And its not you, you are doing a wonderful work as the mod, I just need a break.

btw, you dont need to hold England for me. I will let Sir O Casey stay in the game and feel how it is to be in the late game, I dont want to take him out. :)

Lets see, last thing was some camels on the way......

King Volum gaterd with his finest general in order to counter the Morish threat, he and his advisors all saw that the best way to counter mounted units had to be spears. They would regret the day they tried to attack a (soon to be) superpower.

Orders:

expand
Arm one of the armies with spears and use them to stop the Morish.

To Arabia and Egypt
From Judea

My land is about to be attacked, I hope that if worste comes to worse, you will perhaps aid me?

Update, 3300 B.C.

In Japan, the troublesome Mori finally become a province of the Japanese. The Mori family become Daimyos of the new land, however Shogun Shogun shouldn't be too happy. The new land is full of bandits and ronin. He'll need to take military action before they prove too troublesome.

In Arabia, the Arabic culture reigns supreme. The ruler, Mohammed, uses this to his advantage, starting a great wonder. It is to be called the Koran, and it will record all of Mohammed's previous teachings. The wise men happily sit down to explain their favorite memories to the empire's vast array of scribes.

In China, the Chinese get ready for heavy expansion but do not move an inch. Still, this is perhaps the start of great things for the young nation of China. The Chinese develop copper, a primitive sewage system, and writing. To add to this amazing list, the Chinese have also developed a primitive alphabet, the first in the world. The significance of this you'll see 2 posts down...

The Chinese also find an island called Formosa to the Southeast. They establish a small colony, as it looks otherwise deserted.

In Scotland, the Scottish make many advances. For one they build the city of Glasgow, and for another they invent sailboats. Their army is raised and is sent to the border with England in order to guard against the English onslaugh that was sure to come but... miracolously England collapses. Scotland is free to conquer England if it wishes without fear of any significant casualties. The Scots have also constructed the town of "Dublin" in Ireland. However without a navy, and with the horrible economy, they won't be able to get any military troops there for a while.

Meanwhile in Egypt, Egyptian culture is significantly raised. Expansions are also mounted, and advances are made. A new sailboat, similar to the Scottish designs hundreds of miles away is made, and the Egyptians try to make contact with new cultures. They succeed, meeting the Arabs for the first time!

Farther to the West in Africa, the Carthaginians completely refuse the Roman offer and kick the Romans out of their lands. After a heavy battle, the Roman general decides to save the army to fight another day and retreats via ship to Sicily. There, another newer army is waiting for orders. In the North, the Romans make significant gains however. They now have news that there might be 3 different peoples around them. To the Northeast, a very large and advanced tribe. To the Northwest, a set of loosely connected tribes related to the previously mentioned. And a glorious empire rivaling Rome across the sea. Nobody is sure if Roman technology allows them to reach the latter though.

In Norway, the Norewgians unite and make a small kingdom in the middle of North Europe. They're a seafaring people, who have had knowledge of sails long before even the Egyptians or Scots developed those secrets. They increase their navy, and are as powerful on the seas as any more established country. Their king hears rumors of a civilization in the West... the Scots... but nobody has met them as of yet.

In the Hawaiian colonies the Hawaiians raise their army and expand North, making contact with the Pueblo people. They have indeed found rich soil and pleasent lands. Unfortunatly the Pueblo hold these territories. On the other hand... the Pueblos don't seem that strong. The Hawaiians now have the largest army of any tribe anywhere near them. However, they are by far one of the least technologically advanced people in the world, and their economy is near collapse.

In Almohad lands, the Almohads arm their armies with spearmen and succeed in completely annhialating the Moors. The newly energated Almohads seem poised for world conquest... according to their leader.

And in Judea, the Hebrews ready their army just in time. They set up their defenses just in time to repel the first Assyrian attack on Tripoli. From there they advance North even gaining some Assyrian territory. Back home the economy is increased.

Elsewhere, the Huron, Inca, and Indians all increase their economy and expand slightly.

The World in 3300 B.C.

The Dawn of a New Era!

jerusalem.jpg

With the Chinese discovery of the alphabet, all major advances of the early ancient age have been found by various civilization of the earth. Certain nations among you have advanced much more than others, and therefore are deserving of the new, "Ancient Age" category, whereas the rest of you are still in "Early Ancient Age" and will be until you advance enough yourself or get it from one of the nations that currently posseses it. As for those of you who have obtained the new age, congratulations on your god play so far in this NES. New ages play a tremendous role in this NES, and I hope, will stop the game from becoming redundant. Here are some of the new options you have with Early Ancient Age:

Great Walls: As I had mentioned, you can now build great walls. They will be represented by rectangles and such, about as long as the capital cities you see. To place 3 of them on a map costs one economy level. They nearly completely halt any enemy advances and will come in useful for setting up borders or defenses against human players and powerful NPC's alike.

New troops: You have new types of soldiers to recruit into your armies. Yes, you can finally train horsemen (although you'll have to research it all over again  ). Here are some examples of "Ancient Age" weaponry.

Culture Benefit: Normally, upon completing a wonder, your culture would go down back to barbaric. However, starting in this age, your culture will only go down to standard. Whats more, wonders started in this era will be finished quicker than in other eras.

Farther Naval Expansion: You can now expand much farther than before. This was already available to certain civs before "Ancient Age", but whereas they were exceptions, advanced seafaring is now the norm.

The Civilizations that have developed Ancient Age are as follows:

Arabia
Celtland
China
Egypt

If you haven't yet, don't worry. It'll come pretty soon now that these ideas are out in the open. More specifically, Japan, Rome, and Judea are right around the corner. The rest of you will wait a tad bit longer. Either way, for the above mentioned, enjoy.

With England out of our way, we send soldiers into England to set up a government over the newly annexed land.

Orders
-Rename London to New Scotland
-Raise Economy
-Build Wonder Stone Henge
-Research Further Into Sailing Technology
