In the version of Civilization I am used to playing, the bonuses for buildings will frequently stack. You can build a library and a university, and both improve your education scores. You can build a market, and a stock exchange, and both will boost your money.

What about this version? Since the buildings need to be near the peeps to really benefit, and since they have to run to them, is there any point in building both a theater and a museum? Or other such double items? How does that work with this game?

Figuring things out, one step at a time.

They don't stack. The citizens basically run in a triangle, between the

A) House
B) Drop Off point (palace/village green for science/culture/gold) (lumbermill/ironforge/factory/masonry for production) (granary for food)
C) Production point (food source for food) (forest/stone/iron for production) (bank/market for gold) (library/uni for science) (museum/theatre for culture).

They try to pick the most productive triangle, taking into account the upgrades of (B) and (C). As such, once you can build Universities, it is pointless to have libraries.
