she is 18 and therefore voting age. that's the real worry. hundreds like her and voting with that intellect.

with all this embarassment, she does have a recourse. she should get an attorney and sue her school for not teaching her to not sound like a moron. She has demonstrated their failure in educating her without a doubt. south carolina [a few other states as well] need to just give parents a voucher and let them find a decent school. they can then dismiss the losers posing as teachers in public schools there.

she'd have been better off homeschooled by a blind pig.

She's obviously just nervous and fumbling the words. Maybe she isn't a rocket scientist, but clearly she wouldn't sound that stupid if it weren't for the fact that she is nervous and speaking in front of an audience.

If anything, she just doesn't have good public speaking skills.

While I don't particularly think winning beauty pageants is a meaningful thing to aspire to, I do think people should cut her some slack.

There's some things no amount of education can fix. Being from South Carolina is one of 'em.
