Miss Universe -- National Costumes

Normally I think any beauty pageant is about as boring as a Christian Telethon but these are some really far out costumes. Most of these outfits are like something Bjork or Lady Gaga would wear.

My favorite is Miss Kazakhstan but Miss Guatemala and Turkey have some pretty cool outfits too. Miss Zambia has the boldest outfit, she looks like the little mermaid if she moved to Africa and then hit puberty.

I love Miss Poland. It's the peacock feathers with the color of their flag and her facial and body expressions. She's like, "Notice us! Notice us!", while we then immediately forget about Poland until some idiot tells us its Eastern European, in which we educated fellows say its North African, and so on.

She's cheating. The Swiss flag is shorter than others (different format), so her dress should be much smaller.

Come to think of it, the Nepalese dress might also look interesting. (If there was one, which probably wasn't the case.) Its shape almost yearns to be modeled into a bikini ... might not be all that representative of the local climate and tradition though.

Am I the only one who thinks these women should be nude for these contests? I think if you can really call someone miss universe, every part of their body must be taken into account. She could be the most beautiful woman with clothes on, but have a nasty, smelly you-know-what. That's hardly miss universe material.

She probably had a rather boring costume(compared to the others!). Like the Norwegian one.
