Missing graphics after install

After I install BTS I can't see unit pictures in the 'pedia, leader pictures don't appear and my flag is missing from where it should be next to the map. Also I think there is something missing from a menu. Look at the picture. Isn't there supposed to be something above Exit to Desktop? Doesn't it say Civilization IV there usually? This is even on vanilla civ.
Anyone know the problem?

Well I installed on a different computer and it did have the title at the top of that menu. So why isn't it appearing on my computer?

I've tried it in several versions. It's always missing the title above 'exit to desktop' and all of BTS has the missing flag and 'pedia unit pictures.

It's gotten a lot worse. After the last time I reinstalled BTS I tried to start it and I got a blue screen that crashed the whole computer. Then again.

It did once stop long enough on the blue screen for me to read it and there seems to be a problem with nv4_disp.dll which is an nvidia driver. I still have the old drivers from before the reformat so I'll see if they're better.

I reinstalled the driver and it works not now. Even restored the title above Exit To Desktop. Weird that with BTS it crashed the whole computer but with vanilla it just lost the title.

Oops. Just realised in my last post instead of saying it works now I wrote it works not. Yes it is working now, and I'm back to modding when I'm not watching reruns of iCarly. That show is awesome, and a pox on anyone who says differently!

Hello everyone, I'm a newbie here
Running BTS I had a problem, the game was running but not the background of the windows: for example i don't have the screen of the technologies or the one with the city's production, I have the options but not the usually blue backgroud, and I don't know why.
Is there anyone who can help me?

P.s. I updated the nvidia drivers, I don't have the cd of the game cause I download it from gamesplanet.com, and my O/S is windows Xp, moreover I have tried to install the patches but I don't know they seem not working, the installation does not start.

you'll need to rece3ive the patches from the same source that you downloaded the game from.
