So I just realized there is a limit on how large of a mod file you can load to the Mod Browser...I think it is something around 5 Mbs. I want to post a couple things...first how do I go about listing my Mod on Civfanatics and second WTH!

They are suppose to make Civ 5 the "Most modable Civ game ever" yet we get limited on the size of these mods? Don't get me wrong there are a lot of really good small sized mods...but if someone wants to do a lot of custom things like mine which is not finished and is already up to 95Mbs this limit really hurts the Mod Browser IMO....sorry just needed to vent.

Rubbish. There are already mods on the ModHub larger than this - more likely to be an issue with your internet connection and/or ISP timeout/usage limit at your end.

Is the 95Mb the space on the disk drive or the size of the compressed .civ5mod file? If the latter, then it must be full of images, so you're probably using the wrong dds compression.

If it really is 95Mb, most people will have given up waiting for it to download (or had their ISP's time them out), long before they play it - so consider your intended audience and work out how to make it more "user friendly"

The limit is above 10MB, maybe 15MB. But there is a limit, total conversion won't be found on the mod hub until the limit is raised.

About uncompressed DDS, the 7zip format of the mod file is pretty good to compress those, the problem of uncompressed DDS is more for the used space on the user HDD than the size of the file to download (but with today drive size...)

For example, my WWII core mod which contain uncompressed (WIP) DDS is 3-4 MB to download and 60MB extracted. The WWII data mod is 80MB to download and 230MB extracted (it contains MP3 speeches, DDS, hundreds of units...)

Really? A lot of the best mods for civ4 are larger than 95Mb! The total size of Fall from Heaven (main mod + patch + media pack) is over half a gigabyte!
