[MOD] CivMore

Any word on the new releasse? I'd much rather have the new UU's with "stock" graphics than wait a month for new graphics. Release! Release!

 Yet another split vote! Oh well, I plan on sticking with the timetable mentioned in my earlier post, and releasing whatever is completed at the time...

I love the mod and can't wait to play more of it. I love that it just takes the stock gameplay and enhcances it, rather than outight changing it. That is why I play this mode and not Sevo's -- I find that the Sevomod changes too many things from the vanilla version. Great job thus far.

Thanks for the kudos; I'm glad you are enjoying the mod! My goal was to enhance the game only, and not change the game (except where absolutely necessary to suit the additions). Sevo's mod is quite impressive, but I am trying to be very careful at making sure that our two mods remain unique and (while they may overlap in some areas) both provide different gameplay experiences. Thanks again for the feedback...!

Status Update:

The new units are coming along quite nicely! I've found and applied new skins or models to all but 11 of the 43 (yes, Fourty-Three) new units so far. I don't know if I'll be able to get all of the remaining units completed in time for the next release, but I will get as many of them done as possible.

The next release is very close... If not tonight, then tomorrow evening at the latest (mostly depending on how long it takes to upload the mod, and how smoothly it goes).

That's great news indeed.

43!!!! New units, that sounds just great ;D

43-18=25 so we have 25 new units, wonder which ones those will be

Quick Update:
The next version of the mod is 99% complete (just a few text key fixes and minor proofing need to be done), but it is too late to upload it tonight. I will upload the file ASAP tomorrow after I get home from work...

Status Update:

CivMore v. 0.40 (Alpha) is now complete, and is being uploaded! Some of the new features include 43 new units, 4 new wonders, 2 new promotions, 1 new leader, 6 new leader traits (traits adjusted for all non-vanilla leaders), 12Monkey's plotlist enhancement, Dr. Elmer Jiggle's Civ4lerts, and more! A link to a file will be posted as soon as the upload is complete! More details to follow...

I'm not quite sure what is going on; I have uploaded the file to filefront twice, and both times, after 1-2 hours of uploading, I am greeted with a blank page, and no file in my file list... ack!! In any case, the file has also been uploaded to 3ddownloads, and I am awaiting the link...

CivMore version 0.40 (Alpha) is now available for download on FileFront, in both Zip and 7z formats.:goodjob:

The files have also been mirrored on 3ddownloads, and are pending approval.

See the first post for links.

More details on the new features and changes of this version will be posted shortly.

Be sure to let me know what you think of it and/or any features that you would like to see changed or added!

Enjoy! :)

The 3ddownloads mirror of the .7z file is now available (see first post for link). There was a problem with the .zip file, and it is uploading again; I will post the link as soon as the file is approved.

Enjoy!

Just started a game, and it looks quite nice.

Just a few comments:
expansive has a +50% to stonehenge?
and statue of zeus requires mathematics but gets obsolete with metal casting, I sometimes research first MC than mathematics.

Also the minimap does not seem to work properly for me

Each of the leader traits (except industrial) now has a 50% bonus for a single National Wonder and a single World Wonder. This is to help make the leaders more distinct, and to slightly take away from the potentially too-powerful industrial trait.

I didn't even notice that! I'll see about changing it for the next release...

Hmmm.. mine works fine! I didn't mess with any of the screen files or python files, other than adding 12monkey's plot list enhancement and Dr. Elmer Jiggle's Civ4lerts. Do you have any files in your CustomAssets folder?

Glad you like it so far! Keep me posted on your thoughts...

For those interested, I hope to have the first several posts updated sometime tonight with the new overview, feature list, screenshots, version history, etc.

The unit preview screenshot has been updated with all 72 new units! It can be found at the bottom of the first post. More details on the new units, and all other changes and additions coming soon!

The 'Overview' and 'Credits' sections in the first post have been updated.

I'll do a clean reinstall tonight as I'm not sure if I modified anything since last install.

About the stonehenge I was just saying that it seemed better to associate it with spiritual or some others than expansive

Dont know if you fixed it in the .40 version...

My bro discovered a quirk in an animation in the .30 version...

The Poles attacked him with the UU Hussar...

and he noticed the they had wings :mischief:

I think this was originally a fantasy animation model... it justs needs it's wings "clipped" to fit better in this mod

anyway dont know if you corrected it in the latest version, but it's not a big deal... it just looks ... >ahem< out of place  for this mod...

of course it doesnt affect gameplay... :goodjob:

FYI only

MP NOTE: Up to 1735 AD and no problems with the .30 version :D

but of course now I gotta upgrade mods :p

The complete feature list and full change log have been updated (see posts 2 & 3).

I finished them last night, but after several hours putting them together I got an error telling me that I was 10,000 characters over the limit! I have since split the feature list into two posts, and added the change log as an attachment

So far I'm really liking this mod, I just got the .40 release and have not found any gliches or bumps. Just some missing graphic and text which I'm guessing will be added at some point as it's not key to the function of the game play. Not being a modder or programmer who am I to complain? I like the enhancement of the game plat without changing the game. I enjoy some of the other mods but as a whole I like the core game and with this mod it doesn't change the play just adds to it. Thanks for the hard work and keep it up it can only get better.

Not sure if the problem is in the mod or I have missed something:
After I finished construction of barracks I should be able to turn one citizen to sergeant? But for some reason I couldn't. City was already relatively large, about 8 citizens so this should not be a problem?
