[MOD] Fall from Heaven II

what about: if you have cages, let the beastmaster spawn creatures there, which he then can take with him (making him eg 4 points stronger if he takes a spider, 2 points additional if he takes a lion, and a max of 3 animals, which could, if joined, be used as a kinda promotion) Understand the idea, anyone?
 
Hey I just wanted to express my appreciation of this Mod. It's so good, it's all the Civ I play these days, it's much better than Warlords and Vanilla.

I'd like all the lore that is available about the setting as I intend to use it as a basis for a tabletop RPG game. So, if anyone (Kael especially) have done something simililar, I'd love to compare notes.

Did I mention that this is the best Mod ever?

Yeah I ran D&D campaigns for about 17 years. We arent trying to recreate those games, so we change whatever we need to to make the mod better, but the D&D games provide a lot of inspiration for the background of the mod. Its also neat because after DMing them for years so many of the characters in the mod are almost like real people to me.

So, you don't play anymore?
As for characters being like real people, we still talk about old characters - people that overhear us must think we're mad... especially since we're all about 30 years old :lol: and really not very nerdy

Heh, yea I remember the days of D&D Campaigns. I definetly talk about my characters with my old buddies still to day. :)

But I'm like 20 and very nerdy so it's expected. o.O

Woot only one more day till fire!!!!!

Makes sense and sounds fun. easy to do from a programming perspective, might be impossible to do the art right, afaik.

If you search the forum, you can find a couple threads about Kael's old game worlds.

Also, I intend the civilization pedia descriptions to eventually be more informative, ala the Bannor or dwarves currently. (Check Elohim in friday's release.)
 
How will fire be released? Direct download (from Civfanatics or fileplanet)? Torrent?

So if I understand this right - "Light" was already implemented in version 0.16j and tomorrow we get a new version of FfH2 with "Fire" included (in addition to "Light")? I'm a n00b, btw :blush:

"Light", "Fire", "Shadow" and "Ice are the 4 phases of FfH2. Each builds on evrything in the preceeding phase. So yes, 0.16j was the last version of "Light" and tomorrow we will release 0.20, which is the first version of "Fire".

It will contain all the stuff from "Light" (we didn't start over like we did between FfH1 and FfH2) and although a few things have been removed or moved around its a compilation of all the stuff that was in "Light".

On the beastmaster topic, I dunn if its plausible, but you could give beastmasters abilities over themore bestial demons and angels that may appear in fire
 
Random question: I was looking at the title image in the OP where you can see different leaders and characters from the mod, and can anyone tell me who is the wraith looking guy above Orthus? I've done some searching but can't connect him to any character I have encountered yet...

Thats a great idea. It works perfectly too, their is a whole line of "Beast" units, it just makes since that Beastmasters would get a bonus against them.
 
I ws playing as the grigori (archmage heros pwn) and I just researched mithril weapons, Now my capital can build phalanxes but it wont let me upgrade my two very high level dragonslayer heros, no upgrade icon appears (i have mithril, some 6000 gold and a weaponsmith)

Dragon slayers upgrade to Immortals or Berserkers, not Phalanyx's.

Ive been around since ffh1 but never commented. Me and my partner love your mod, and I think civ , with your mod is the greatest fantasy turn based game out there. I know you hear this alot but great work. about the only thing I wish you had was some kind of lizardfolk race, for some reason ive really wanted to play one in ffh.

you know one of the most amazing things is every time it starts to grow old I just dont play for a a little while and come back and I cant believe how much I love it. The civ series has always been great but your mod is the greatist polish ,that so deeply outshines the original.
 
I have the following issue when trying to play Fall from Heaven 2 multiplayer online:
I can't see any of the games my friends are creating, and they cannot see games I create. My friends and I are all running the "016j" version of FFH2. They have no trouble seeing one another and playing multiplayer games of FFH2, and I can play both normal and Warlords versions of civ with them online. I have no issues when playing FFH2 single player. I can't think of any reason this is happening. Any ideas?
