[MOD] Fall from Heaven II

Actually the Kraken is a sea Summon in FfH2. So no Barbarian Kraken that hinders the Naviagations at the moment. (A sea Serpent is planned to do that later on).

Hian the Frog uses him in his Scenario as Barbarian i think.

Garrisoning Forts is more difficult. Ill check it. UNITAI_CITY_DEFENSE is the right one in principle but as Kael said, if the AI decides there are enough defenders it will send some of those off.

Because Krakens are beginning with assault ai, i must change this to attack ai. It would be better:)
About orc spearmen, they don't want to stay in forts, even if i put one orc for one fort.... So i remove them at that time.

Oh staying in Forts you want the... That wont work. AI will not let troops linger in forts. No way to accomplish it short of permanently rooting them.

Just thought about cities the enitre time.

Because there is no Sea Serpent at that time, i use Krakens as barb naval units roaming the sea. I know that it's a summoned unit but it's the best choice today.
I hope that some beast/animals would be added in the future. Like lions, wolves,....it would be fun.

You'll be responsible for thousands of new members joining CivAnon (even my sponsor plays your mod!)

to hinan the frog -

i've added more animals to this mod by ripping off the animal pack and some of the other mods like warhammer for my own enjoyment. Had to make a few xml changes but eh fairly easy.

ie. unicorns, pegasus, cave lions and bears, polar bears, dire wolfs. I'm pretty busy so this is just my first attempts to make add-ons.

Waiting for someone to make a hydra unit :D ... possibly workin' on that chalid?

(and then psst... incorporating the pirates mod with this one?)

Good job. About animals/beasts:

1) I just say that i would be more happy if some SEA animals would be added. Like the Sea Serpent of Chalid. But why not others SEA animals. Meanwhile, i don't think that Kael wants his mod to be a zoo.
2) An other problem is that each animal has his own cage. If you add more animal, logically you would add their cage. With a few lucky hunter, you will solve your happiness problem too easily.
3) OMI, fantastic beasts such as Pegasus, Hydra, Manticore,... could be added but as really powerful roaming barb. They could be added when some tech are discovered for exemple.
4) If i ask Chalid and the Team about Sea animals, it's because i think that seas, coasts and oceans are a bit too empty. It's too easy too travel around the world with no problems....

There is definitly a design need for a water animal as you said. We have speced the Sea Serpent to fill the gap. There isn't any reason not to add other except that we have to prioritize and its a big job to add a new unit so we have to prioritize.

Right now the Sea Serpent is #5 on my list, but that isn't the order it will go in. I prioritize and put a list up for the art team and they make the units that appeal to them, this is just for fun afterall so everyone works on whatever they enjoy.

As for the mod becoming a zoo, I don't see much of a design need for more animals but I don't mind anyone (or everyone) adding whatever makes the mod more enjoyable for them. Thats what got Haarbal to make his own Civ's for FfH1 and they ended up getting rolled into the final version.

Monsters or fantastic beasts like you say are planned for "Fire" and "Shadow" phases in different forms.

About adding whatever you like to your mod, i agree, you are right, but when guys like me doesn't understand anything about XML, Python,....(it's like speaking Bhutanese for me:crazyeye: ) they had to wait for others to build/create/add new civs, units,...:mischief:

Prince difficulty isn't easy (i test on noble and prince). It sounds like things are going as they should for your strategy. I do wish weaker opponents would gang up on more powerful ones. There is a dogpile factor to get them to join in on a war that is already going on but nothing to get a group of civs to all declare war at once. Maybe I will write something up to do that.

If you do that would be awsome, several weaker civs could take out a stronger opponent, would be amusing experience indeed!!

I'm playing the Luchuirp in my map/scenarii and i feel surprised with one upgrade.
I'm rich (around 2000 gold, as i miss 3 wonders for a few turns:cry: ) and i have just discovered construction tech. So, i built Sculptor Studios in all my cities and began to build some wood golems. I also decided to upgrade some units with such an mount of cash...
1) All my wood golem were built with no xp. That point is logical.:)
2) As a Runes follower, i decided to upgrade some of my best warriors (those with many xp) to dwarven soldiers. They were upgraded to wood golem !!!:confused:
How can a living unit be upgraded to a mechanical one ? :confused: Not very logical.:confused:
Furthemore, they were upgraded with all the promo of my warriors.:confused:
I let you imagine that my army was very strong. My poor neighbor (Calabim) will have his ash seriouly kicked with such an army....:D

I suppose that you already know that. If not, now you know !
