[MOD] Fall from Heaven II

i have a srange occurance. i downloaded 2.16 and it worked perfectly. when 2.20 came out, i downloaded and i had no toolbars or anything. just the map with the people. checking the forums i renamed my customassets to customassets.old but still nothing changed. i redownloaded civ 4 patch 1.61 and no change. when i put 2.16 back in, i worked perfectly! any solution to this problem? (yes, i am positive that it was the full download, not just the 3mb patch)

There was an issue that caused this but it was fixed in the patch. Install patch "h" and you will probably be fixed.
 
ok this may sound noobish, but, in what directory do i put the patch?

Its an executable just like the main mod was. Just install it just like you did with the main mod (if you kept the default then stick with the default directory, if you changed it then change it with the patch as well).

To quote press the quote button instead of the reply button.
 
it didn't work. can you specify the path? is it /MODS or is it /MODS/fallfromheaven2/?
I have that sometimes, too.
To get your GUI again, just ALT+TAB out of the game, and then ALT+TAB in again, and everything is great. Don't ask me why, but that works.

pressing ALT-TAB twice. it reset the toolbar, minimap, everything as it should:)

For myself, every first tme I run FfH the GUI doesn't appear. I reload the game and it appears, and it still appears if I rerun the game. Maybe it has something to do with the fact that I installed the mod in the mod directory of My Documents, don't know.
 
The Infernal and Mercurians have very different mechanics than a usual civilization. I was wondering, will the same be true of the Sidar, the Svartalfar and the Illians?
 
All civilizations are unique in a way, and Svartalfar and Sidar are the only ones with the Hidden trait, which makes them kinda special that way. When that gets implemented.

And the Illians are hopefully gonna be able to something with the climate of the world ;) - but dont quote me on that.
 
Something like that.

And also something that will make Svartalfar more unique, is in the next patch. Heroic strength to all Recon units.

I voted, but why is FFH2 counted as a RTS?

because they dont have a categorie for turn based... but still let CIV take part in the competition, and RTS comes closest.
