[MOD] Fall from Heaven II

I guess that I must be fated to be one of the few not to be able to get the new version. I am using IE, but I'm a little unsure whether or not cookies are enabled. I THOUGHT this option was under the Internet Options "Advanced" tab, but I see nothing in the prompts regarding "cookies" (unless they are called by a different name). I would have thought cookies were enabled since I haven't had problems downloading anything else, but I have just loaded a new version of Norton Internet Security.
Also, your link appears to take me to the same page as the first post in this series (i.e. only offers the "Play Now" and "Install Files" options).
Given the number of people that have successfully downloaded it, I am really wondering what I'm doing wrong...

Ok, just try to download it and only I get is an error, I tried downloading it about 5 times and I still get it, what the hell!?

For cookies: Right click on the IE icon, go to privacy; mine is on medium high, that should be low enough.
The link I posted takes you to a page that looks the same, but as soon as it loads, look about 4 inches below the address bar, there should be a line there that says "But if it doesn't, click here to start the download manually. " If you wait too long, it will try to dl automatically, which for me doesn't work, but that link does.

Patch "a" is linked in the first post. It won't break save games and it resolves the following issues:
1. Fixed the python error in the "Into the Mist" world spell.
2. Fixed the error in the Add to Freak show spell.
3. Fixed an error in the Cult of the Dragon unrest event.
4. Elven workers no longer require bronze working to place improvements on forest plots.
5. Fixed a python error in the Adventure event.
6. Tailors give +1 happy from cotton instead of sheep.
7. To become Shades, Sidar units have to be alive, and can't be animals or beasts.
8. Increased the duration of Blinding Light to 2 (to keep it from wearing off).
9. Fixed broken graphics on the Dragons Horde wonder.
10. Fixed a CtD that could happen from Raging Seas on slower computers (those unable to process the visual effect).
11. Fixed an error in the slave revolt function.
12. Scholarship no longer blocks a state religion.
13. Good AI leaders ignore "evil" techs and vise versa.

I know that I'm being a royal pain in the *ss, but... My "cookies" setting appears to be find (I set it to "Medium High" and got the same results). However, the "Download Message Manually" message isn't appearing on the page when I use the link you provided. Do I need to use the "Play Now" or "Install Files" to see this?
Alternatively, is there a way to add the link in a spot from which it would be easier to download?

Unfortunately, I'm having the same problem. I also have privacy set to 'medium', I'm using IE 7.0. I tried logging on using my AOL account and the same thing happened.
I tried downloading a different mod, re-downloading version 0.25. When I did,it asked me for a place to download it to. I found this with a few other of the Civ downloads.
Is suspect I'm doing something wrong also, but thanks for any help.

Okay, Pm GFGuy, (on this forum), he'll be more likely to help you than I.
Faeryl Viconia a moderate bonus to adopting the Council of Esus, Sandalphon a minor one.
Varn Gosam has a moderate bonus to adopting the Empyrean, the Elohim leaders a minor one.

I don't know what happened to the normal bug report threads, but I'll just keep posting them here as I go on.
Yes there is something wrong with the RatCatcher's guild, every first start it is always found with any civilization that the human has. (advance start option)
Also it seems like everytime Archeon is created he also founds Cult of the Dragon, making it harder for Kurioties or Sheiam to create it
Malkaim's world spell is not in the same location or option as the other civilizations.
Civ's played so far (through about 50 turns each)
Sidar, Malkaim, Clan of Embers, Calbaim, (i forget the other...)
Not that you fellas support this, but Smart Map seems to have an issue with just creating a grassland world... haven't tried it too often but it does depend on your options

OK, I got it to work! Unfortunately, I'm not positive which step worked (my son fooled around with it a bit.)
I think the key was that I went into 'Help'. There is a page talking bout the download manager. I then clicked on something that says 'decline to use the download manager' or something like that. I then went back and it asked me for a location. I saved to desktop and it was all done.

I'm not seeing a section on the download manager other than one saying I needed to have it downloaded and installed (which I'm pretty confident that I do). I went into "Settings" and there doesn't appear to be a setting there for not using the download manager. If you can figure out how you accomplished this and let me know, I would be in your debt.
By the way, how old is your son? Hopefully you aren't an "old coot" like me...

Ok, to everyone about the download manager... you just must look a little carefully. There is an option to download without installing their crud. Choose the option (install files, play now whichever) and look off to the right it says "click here" to download without installing the download manager.

On the right hand side of the page, there is a link saying 'Download content without installing the download manager'. That's what did the trick for me.
