I don't know if this has been asked before...I tried searching and couldn't come up with anything....If so I apologize :)

Anywho, I was wondering if there was a way to create a desktop shortcut to load up my favorite Civ4 mod instantly, as opposed to getting to the Main menu, then selecting to load the mod, waiting for the game to restart and load again. It's not like it takes too long, it's just a minor annoyance that I can't just load it with the mod right from the get go. Is this possible at all?

Open up CivilizationIV.ini in the my Docs folder and find this line
Code:
; Specify a Mod folder (Mods\Mesopotamia), '0' for none
Mod = 0
change the 0 to the exact folder name of the mod you want to load. Now it will autoload the mod every time you start Civ

Awesome. Thanks very much! Nowadays I almost NEVER play Civ without RoM running, so it just makes sense really.

If you just want to do it through the shortcut use: mod=XXX

So on your shortcut set target to:
My BAT mod shortcut - "C:\My install path\Civ4\Beyond the Sword\Civ4BeyondSword.exe" mod=\mods\BAT Mod 1.1
My vanilla shortcut - "C:\My install path\Civ4\Beyond the Sword\Civ4BeyondSword.exe"
