Hi. I got a problem with my game running very very slow, and pressing space for next turn takes too long to be playing anything.
I've installed new bts patch, and I think I got new ffh2 patch, and ive tried with many different settings on video.
My game runs great with ffh2 mod, and the normal game. So its a mystery I cannot solve.
Any suggestions please?

Reduce the size of the map you are using as well as the number of civs. I enjoy the big maps with many civs too, but it doesn't do it for me. CTDs and slow downs unfortunately, so I use Standard sized maps with 6 civs.

Ok, i can do that.
But why is this different from FFH2 and RfE? FFH2 runs smooth with large maps, while RfE is much slower :=)

Have you played FF 51? That is also slow. They are slower because a lot of new features have been and continue to be added.

So, reduce your map sizes and cut civs out, see whether that helps. If not, perhaps we can help some more.

Thanks, it helps to play smaller worlds. Too bad, I like to play big worlds. But all the nice features conpensate nicely :=)
Thanks for replys

Valkrionn, maybe you could take a glance at what Afforess did for his RoM modmod A New Dawn. I don't understand the details, I guess he moved a bunch of things from SDK to python, or the other way around, or something like that and I'm just not clear on the terms. Anyway, the discussion was here

Yerug, I agree with you 100%. I also like playing on the large/huge maps with many civs, but I just get CTDs in the later game as well as the long times between turns.

I also agree that you can play FFH2 and Orbis with the bigger maps and I have had mixed success with FF. However, RiFE, which I like much better is a no go.

I really think it has nothing to do with your computer specs as I play all the high end shooters, actions, RPGs, etc. with no problems.

Just try using the Standard sized map with the default number of civs and see what you think then. :)

Already looking at it. Basically, he stopped unneeded python from running; Most python callbacks which we don't use are already off. The thing we should emulate is going through all the code, looking for python calls that can NOT be turned off atm, and adding the callback. Then if it's not used, turn the thing off.

Its great. I am so grateful for this mod, so enjoying its features at all is absolutely gooooooood.
Too bad ofc that its alitle wierd on giant maps compared to the original :=)
