[MOD] Sevos CivFanatics Fusion Ver 1.0

I also want to second the inclusion of the crusader and ask for the mujahadeen as well. The other religion specific units I felt were too specialized or the religion already had enough advantages in tech placement, but for christianity and islam the religions come so late that anyone brave enough to switch to them should really get a bonus of some kind. Plus they both look nice as well.

so is this 1.52 compatible? just asking since I've studied on using it :D
only thing I dont like is the industrios trait change. I play Ghandi, you know.

I can't find a link for that one, and its also the only one I have that has an effect on game speed with low end machines.

Yes I know 2 are on apolyton and this is the civfanatics fusion hehe ;)

I just did, thanx for pointing that out. I guess I'll just wait till Sevo updates the mod... I'm wondering how hard it would be for someone with no experience with civ4 modding to change the industrious trait back to normal ...

Not hard...but you might learn some modding along the way...:D


I've uploaded a version patch for the time being that fixes the Domestic Advisor Screen for Civ4 1.52. It's an ugly hack and generates warnings in the error log, but it does seem to work, it's compatible with previous saved games (version 1.0 of sevomod), and it'll keep you guys playing until I'm able to to do a proper patch. It looks like the authors of most of the original mods are working on their individual issues so I'll be able to fix things up nicely.

I have a bit of a problem. The text is all mucked up. Instead of a message like "Your warrior killed an archer." I get " Y i ar il c r." And not just the message, but any text, be it what the terrain does or what the research does.
EDIT: If I save and reload it goes back to normal.
 
Is tech conquest working in the new version ? in the 1.0 I was getting the message about getting new tech, but after that I had to research it anyway...
 
Bhruic's Tech Conquest only gives 30-70% of a tech, so you have to research the rest.
 
I mean I got message that I captured phylosophy but hadn't got it really.

I'm not finding it compatible. I tried loading a game made with Sevomod 1.0, and it froze roughly 20% through the process. Had to TAB out and close down Civ. New games work fine, however.
 
Just for further info: I rebooted, and tried repeatedly reloading that Sevomod 1.0 game using 1.05. Got a runtime error, after which the game closed down.

Well, probably not compatible, then. It's funny--all I did was change one function's parameters--it shouldn't have affected anything at all in the gameplay. But since I can't test more than a few saved games and I have no idea how the core program handles saved games...I basically have to guess.

So 1.05 should be considered incompatible. I'll have more time in the next couple of days to work on it and upgrade all the components and whatnot.
 
I used the foreign adviser to see what techs they would trade. Didn't work. Everytime I tried to access it afterward it was just me on screen and nothing else but the exit button.

Oh, I have the same problem... with this F4...
but not only that, F9 also does not work :confused:
 
Sevo, how is that when I have caravel, I cannot have galleys???
How am I supposed to send army to an island, then? :eek:
 
OK, I see I can have Privateers, but there was a gap, for sure
in between the two...

And how is that I had the I. Ancient Olympic Games in AD 1590 or so?
