Well it's great that you're alive! Did you fix the research speed though? I just fee l a little uncomfortable when I can't invade Portugal due to its over-abundance of ICBMs and my tanks start getting shot up by helicopter gunships...

Hi, not sure if this is the right place for this but this is the first thing I've tried downloading and need some help. I've downloaded Bts 3.13 and working fine, and I've downloaded this mod, but how do I actually get from having this file to be being able to play the game. I'd really appreciate any help as it sounds like an excellent mod.

Not sure if this is the right place, but I've got a crash bug I can't seem to get past. I've crashed twice now, every time just after I pick the PSOE faction after the Popular Front splits. I click the faction, then I wait a minute, then I crash. I assume it crashes just when it's worked through creating the factions, then something goes wrong...

I've included two save files which lead to the crash. The first is a quicksave at the end of the turn just before the split, the second is an autosave a week before the split. Both saves lead to the crash. I can't seem to find any way to avoid it.


Oh, and Rushmore, unpack this mod to your Beyond the Sword\mods directory, start Civ 4, then select Advanced at the main menu, then Load a Mod. You do that for practically every mod. Scenarios may be an exception, but if a game rule is being changed, it'll need to be a separate mod.

Have fun playing, it's a fun mod.

Since Ive tried a million different things I guess I should just say step by step what I did so I can find out what no brainers I should have done.

1.I download v2.313.1 and extract it with 7-Zip
2.The file I get says Espana_1936_2
3.Without doing anything to the contents of the file I put it in my mods folder
4.I start the game and load the mod but the screen remains the usualy bts background and i cant play now the mod or anything
5.I thought I would try using the new patch (because Ive tried everything else and it couldn't hurt) but when I click to download it I get ERROR:FILE NOT FOUND

can someone help me. please don't let this thread be dead.

I think you definately need the latest patch. If you can't find it here, reply in this thread and I'll upload it somewhere for you; it solved almost all of my problems, and I can't tell you where else it's come in handy.

Wonderful mod, and thanks for making it before you had to retire from CIV... It's quite wonderful. And also...

Sometimes a mod folder is created inside the mod folder; this way Civ4 won't find the mod. If so, you need to rename the mod to say, zEspaña and cut and paste/copy the mod folder inside to the main Mods folder. (You can then delete the zEspaña folder as it is now empty/obsolete.)

Any chance of getting this working with 3.17? Not sure but I have the latest patch and am reluctant to download mods that aren't for this patch.
