[MOD]Spain 1936

It's un unfair, ok. The question is :
  • This building is not interesting
  • I should have build it before Franco
  • The idea is good, but it must be worked a little more to be more interesting

Well, I must admit there is an element of the second in it, but in my defense I wasn't alerted to the fact that there was such a thing implemented in the game. I think it may be a little overpowered for this mod, but I don't know what the answer would be.

I'm more frustrated with the continual flipping of cities; I haven't seen that anywhere else before, and I'd at least like to understand why it happens...

I see.
I finish with the DLL, and I'll have a look at that.

 Well, my second try at this and it crashed again, now in July (1st time was after just a few weeks...). Also, I noticed in the title screen "a mod purposed by..." Do you mean that, or do you mean "proposed by"? And loading the mod you go directly to the "Your civilization" screen and start immediately (I just wanted to load my saved game, 's all). Can this be fixed?:crazyeye:

OK, I've fixed the bug !
You can now download the patch here

Hooray!

And, I hope you realise that I didn't intend to criticise your work, I know how frustrating it can get sometimes...

No problem ! ;)
This thread has been created for that. I want you to give your opinion that will help me to add modifications in the future versions of the mod.
So, you're welcome.

Argh, this is madness. A city will decide to revolt and join the nationalists with no warning, sometimes no notification, it will kill off or eject any units you have in it or nearby, and you will never be able to capture it again because it will always revolt back the next turn. Sorry Fabrysse, but that's really not fun...

Could you post your saved game and tell me wich city it is , please ?
I'll try to understand why this is happening...

In this game it's Burgos that's done the deed, but in previous ones I've had Pamplona and Seville flip on me.

OK. I've seen the problem. Each time a civ (your civ : Caballero or another : CNT) capture the city, there is a revolt and it goes back to Franco. I've tried to add a lot of troops : nothing changed...
I'm going to search how revolts appear. At the moment, I have no idea on how to fiw it... I'll upload again the mod when I've found a solution.

Positive points :
  • I'm happy to see that the AI players are ok and fight the others
  • The CNT leader changes like I wanted.

Yeah, I thought that was a great idea.

The odd thing about the flip is that I've never seen anything like it before, in any mod.

Having just downloaded Espana 1936 and its related patch, I anxiously attempted to run it (twice!). Both times my system froze and I had to to use my PC power button to stop and restart. Is there something about this mod that makes it incompatible with some PCs? I'd love to try it out...

Thanks.

Could you please wait for tomorrow morning (Monday 17 december, GMT +1) ?
I'll upload the complete mod in 1 file.
Before that, erase all the mod, and when it's uloaded, I'll add a message here.

@Dead Flag :
I think it's a cultural problem. I've tried to fix the problem with python : no result. Now, I have compiled a new dll, I'm going to test it. I hope it'll run tomorrow morning...

Here it is !
The version 2.313.1 is out ! It fixes several little problems (crashes, computer explosion, etc.)

@Dead flag :
Your problem with cities is not yet fixed. I'm on the way, but I go step by step to find where the problem is, and how to fix it.
I hope that a v.2.313.2 will be soon downloadable... :mischief:

Hooray! Is it compatible with saved games though?

Yes. All the modifications were tested with your saved game. I think it's ok...
Now, i'm trying to explain to the AI why they should build some entanglements. That's not so easy. I'm not sure I'll be able to do that.

Actually, trenches could do with a fiddle. It seems the culture they provide doesn't go away even when they're taken over or destroyed.

You probably have an other trenche near the one you destroyed (portugese perhaps...).
The trenche increases the amount of culture of the owner of the trenche, and gives the plots to the most important culture. If Franco has a lot of culture in that plot, he has it. It'll be changed by the time.
