Lol, u're completely crazy or what ? U'd like that commies would have won in Spain's civil war ? That Spain would have been under the Soviet rule ?

Have can u wish such things... I don't consider Spanish to be so bad people that they'd deserve the unfortunate fate of being behind the iron curtain, under the hard heel of USSR.

Spain was lucky that civil war's results were such as they was, as it insured that Spain will be able to avoid any further huge casualties or being made into a foreign regime's puppet.

We're still fighting the long term consequences of the past USSR occupation here in Baltics... If u'd have felt it on your skin, u wouldn't be such a commie lover for sure.

Crash757, you should read about Spanish civil war (very intersting). You'll learn that stalinists-communists (PCE) was not the only fighters. There was CNT (anarchists), PSOE (moderate socialists), POUM (trostkyists-communists), etc...
If the spanish civil war had ended as an anarchist revolution, I think it would be great.
But, I agry, if Spain had joined the USSR block, it would be as lost as it has been lost in the real History.

As much as i have spoken to the anarchists, their vision of ideal system requires more then victory in just one country.
The same as with pure communism, the pure anarchism ideology requires the system to be global, not just in one country, otherwise it will be pseudoanarchism, not the real one.
So, basically, victory in just one country for anarchists would be merely a pretty small step towards the grand aims and, if not soon continued by other success, would end in failure.

Also, the civilwar was fought with foreign technologies, foreigh money, etc. And those anarchists probably didn't have any of it, so their chances, imo, were not very good.

Right. 1 country is 1 step. But, of course, if spanish anachists had win in Spain, the revolution wasn't done, but yet to do in other countries.

Yes. That's because Staline didn't want this kind of revolution, that he finished by fighting anarchists...

I played custom game with Portugal and two weird things happened:

This is NOT a bug !
The Mod is made to play Republicans team. If you customise the game, and set Portugal as playable civ, you'll have to modify all scripts (python and others).
I know you don't want to, but you have to understand that this Mod has been done to play the left wing civs (Republicans at the beginning, and then anachists, communists, socialists or trostkyists), and NOT to play fascist teams !!
I repeat : If you want to play a fascist team, you'll have to write a new Mod !!

No, i don't like modding mods, i only do some scenarios. But if your mod is heavily scripted, i'm afraid i'll be unable to make any additional scenarios for it, as i'm not good at script editing.

Hi Fabrysse! It is a pleasure to see how the Mod you created is still i life!
Does it run on BtS?

Mhhh the mod is great, whith lots of good stuff, the music, the units, etc. Anyway, no offence mate, history seen only from one point of view is not as positive as seen from every point of view, and you know, this mod is quiet left-wing. In fact doesn't follow the history, there are some SCI-FI aspects lol.
Just wanted to say something: I read some lines in this post that caught my attention... as i have been saying in other threads, remember, when talking about a contry (and specially if it is not your nation) that maybe there are some people that may feel a bit hurted with some expressions, thinkings, etc.

WoW. I would really like to play that mod, as I am really interested in the spanish civil war, especially the Anarcho-syndicalists.

It doesn't exist yet (at this time, España 1936 only runs with Warlords), but I'll work on a new version soon... Some news will appear here about that. I'm going to find all what I need.

I'm actually thinking about "España 1936" v.2 for BtS...

1. Several players have said that the mod would be better with Franco as payable civ. I'll try to do that in the new version.
2. Question : What do you think about the BtS standard events ? Do I modify them, or let them go their way ?
3. Question : What about the corporations ? What could replace them ? Do you have some ideas ?
4. Other ideas ?...

This is a great mods and I have some ideas for you.
BtS standard event; either modify them for Spain 1936 or disable them completely. Many of the standard BtS events would alter Spain 1936 gameplay,... who would build 9 harbors and 5 ships while fighting a civil war lol .
As for corporations, I can't think of a way to make them work or why anyone would build them. Unless you allow open borders with Portugal or France so a player can build them there.
