Mod to Purge Holy Cities?

Just a quick and simple post.

I've been trying to find a mod for a while now that does one of two things (or both). One, allow you to purge a religion from a Holy City, and thus be able to completely wipe it off the map without using the suppression method; and two, the ability to raze capital cities (which would just be another way to purge a Holy City).

Now, while I realize the suggestion of allowing a mod to raze capitals has been repeatedly suggested and shot down for various reasons (and to each their own), I am hoping a suggestion for purging Holy Cities will garner a little more interest.

To clarify, when I say 'purge', I don't mean the function an inquisitor can accomplish. I mean a way (perhaps via great prophet?) to completely remove that religion, permanently.

If I am able to convert and remove that religion from all cities, then proceed to capture that religion's holy city, I would like to be able to 'destroy' the holy city so that the religion never has a chance of reappearing. Additionally, the option to reform/enhance your own religion using the captured/absorbed religion's beliefs would be even better.

Does anyone know of a mod that has a function similar to this, or is perhaps interested in doing it?

It is already possible, but you must capture the city first, then inquisite all cities with the religion. I was quite angry to see myself accidently purging my religion as an OCC Ethiopia.

Hmm, really?

Even when doing that and completely removing the religion from every city, the holy city will still often sprout a single follower of the original religion of that city. It emits no pressure, and really, I don't know how it pops up when the pressure from my cities keeps it suppressed.

Interesting.

Actually I think you can purge Holy Cities via the method described by Crawford above. Notice that it explicitely says Inquisitor, you need to use an Inquisitor for this to work and not a Great Prophet, using the Great Prophet will have the religion pop up again after a while. Don't know if it's intended or not that Inquisitors work differently, but they seem to do.

Hmm, interesting.

That may be the case, come to think of it. I remember specifically using an inquistor to purge every city of a religion, then purge the capital at the same time to make sure there was absolutely no pressure for the religion to spring back up. That was the only time I noticed the holy city stay suppressed, however I didn't think much of it, as I didn't play many turns after that. I had just assumed I hadn't played long enough after the fact to have it reappear.
