Modbuddy not working

I have a problem regarding starting Modbuddy, as it absolutely refuses to start the program, it always displays the error message "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation." (Nexus, World Builder and the Fire Tuner however appears to be working fine).

While I posted a thread on the Steam Community Forums about the issue, I am still awaiting a solution for this problem, so I'm also asking here for help, as I wanted starting to create Civilization 5 Mods again.
