modders question

ok, so I know nothing about computers so... I read in here that the modders need firaxis to release a code for them to start making good mods....any word on when that will happen?

There are plenty of fantastic mods. The game core isn't necessary to make "good mods"..

But to answer your question, no, there is no word on when that will be released (though Firaxis keeps promising to release it "soon").
