Modders Unite! for Stargate MOD

Now I was looking over the different mods that are done and I thought to myself there is a Star Wars mod, Fantasy mods, Realism mods that are all great. But we need a Stargate mod!

Now I know nothing of programming or modding but I do have many ideas for Leaders, unique units, game mechanics, etc for a awesome Stargate mod. So I would like to ask any modders out there if they would like to enlist there services to create a Stargate mod.

I don't think it would be all that difficult as it could/would use many existing things that are out there and used in the Japenese Mythology, and Star Wars mods.

So for those loyal Stargate fans out there...wanna help?

A few posts like this were made last summer and nothing materialized. There is a Stargate Civ in the New Civ area, but other than that not much has been done in this regard.

One tip on trying to get a team together would be to have a more descriptive title.

hey i would love to get in on this... i can mod xml... i did i whole mod by myself... ROTK... but that died cause well... some reason... it didnt work... i screwed up something... but um yeah... i can mod this... if you want... just work out the details for me... and ill see what i can do... btw... I CAN DO PYTHON OR EDIT THE SDK!!!! i can compile it... and that was a problem in my last mod... so you try to assemble a team... ill code... ok?

Cool, so there is one volunteer, still need more. Anyone else like Stargate and would like to help. A person to create the units is the most needed I think?

for units just use the one that the game comes with... just change the names and stats... itll work for now... but i need you to put down all of your ideas... and ill see what i can do...

I totally agree with this, we need a Stargate mod. Theres so much material now to work with from 10 Seasons of SG-1, 3 movies and 5 and counting seasons of Atlantis.

No stargate mod has been my disapointment with the modding community for Civ 4. Sure all the other stuff thats been done is very good and interesting, but its not STARGATE!

I'd recommend getting some units&stuff out in exel (or something) first, and then modding it in. I'd be interested in seeing a stargate mod, but couldn't help. Sorry.

I just want to make sure that we are clear it's the Fargate. "Goes far." Get it? And there is no way it came from that movie or that syndicated series based on the movie.
