I've been playing Civ V for a couple years now and I'm just getting in to modding things. I'd really love to increase the resource generation to about 150%, to encourage more trading. I'm trying an improved AI though what I've been doing is playing with a map editor and setting the difficulty fairly high. That way it's not too easy yet I can add resources all all civilizations.

I've been poking around the XML files though I'm not sure what file(s) I need to adjust to increase how many X of what resource gets generated on what Y type of map? I enjoy playing Small Continents Plus. Suggestions please?

The settings in the database (coming from XML files) are used only on World Builder maps with random resources. On random maps, they are ignored. If you want to change anything about resource placement on random maps, you need to delve into AssignStartingPlots.lua...
