Model Parliament posts don't count now?

One way of rescuing Model Parliament is to restore post count there I guess.

Maybe a simpler rule that voting threads don't count? We've got bright mods who can put their collective brains together to solve any admin hurdle. ;)

I don't think the PC is the problem, mainly because PC means nothing. In fact, having it turned off for the entire site might be one solution to the Spam . . .

No, the PC is not the problem, it is people not knowing about it, I think . . . I sent some ideaas to TF, but he hasn't replied yet . . .

But why, how? Its only a number, how can it mean anything? I do not see the point for PC, it means nothing, just a bloody number.

I have yet to see one good reason for even having PC in the first place . . .

If I got post count from that forum I would haveover four thosand by now. (It's kind of weird having most of my posts not count)

It's not really me (vet my posts) but I thought it is an end in itself for lots of posters if OT is anything to go by. It's a recognized phenomenon as Apolyton also shows and sites like them use it as an incentive for members to visit and post and to build a sense of community, barring the perennial problem of spammers who do it for its own sake.

So is that the reason for PC, that people just want to have a higher one then everybody else? If so, give me a few weeks of constant spamming, and I will be getting there.

I post because I have a reason to, or have an opinion on the subject, not because I want to see that little number which doesn't mean anything go up. It is certainly a weird phenomenon . . .

It was quite obvious in Apolyton where I had spent more time, that with their titles in relation to post numbers, something like 3000 for Emperor and 10,000 for Deity, it became a game for some to aspire to be one of the few to be hailed as Deity. And the brevity and often shallowness of their posts testify to that.

But what is because there is no Post Count in the Model parliment, people are not osting there quite as much, and not being active, which might be a reason that the Model Parliment is dying . . .

Besides, it seems like a double standard not to have PC for the MP, yet to have it for the DemoGame . . .

THat would be perfection.
Yeah, but I take spam to an art form, others do stupid one-liners that mean nothing while I develop a chilling post that while complete pointless are often humorous. Sometimes I'll just have a little list of things such as, robot names, adjectives to a word, verbs, or lists of things that I list! To spam well, you must not only be shallow and pointless, but long enough so the mods can see that, "Hey at least he put some effort into it." The art of spam is a tricky one to master, but when done properly can allow for massive postcounts, few bans, and a whole lot of fun.

I think you should allow Post-Count, mainly because that would make my post count go up, and that's always a good thing!

(Hey, it just went up by one now!)

Hmm, I got two out of three on Perfections good spammer list. (now I all I have to do is work on the fun part and change my annoying, crappy, one-liners into pointless and long posts)

Yes perfection is an artist at spamming, just see his robot thread down in civ4 ideas. Even Padma said his spamming had greatly improved since the early days. His post is about 10 paragraphs long. And ity really just repeats the same thing over and over again just in another form. Spamming is an art. And he Perfection is good at spamming. Does that mean he is good at art?:p Long posts ussually are good for spamming as it is not completelty useless, like short post spam.:)
