Modern Armor

Does Modern Armor have a counter other than gunships? I know there's AT infantry that are half the cost, but I'm not sure if 2 AT infantry is decidedly superior to 1 MA.

Mech Inf might be better than two AT infantry, but if the two AT are cheaper...

Air bombardment can make Modern armor into 20-strength weaklings that can be picked off by gunships, anti-tank, mech inf, panzers (which can go toe-to-toe with MA from the get-go), or heck, even Marines. Also try upgrading anti-tank into mech inf, as they retain the Ambush promo. Nukes can also take down MA a peg.

Moblie sam/artilerry + modern armor will stomp through nearly anything, promote your sams with interception, and those bombers will simply go to waste. The mobile artillery alone will collateral a stack easily into the stoneage, and the sams eat gunships for breakfast. Since the new awsome laser tech, I dont even bother with carriers, and can rely on missle cruisers for emergency support.

Mechs supported by air strikes I find to be most effective.

Panzers are a very cost effective anti-MA unit as well, especially with aerial support. Of course that some SAM units and some infantry/mechs give more consistency to this.....
