If you may recall, a Modern Pacific Rim scenario is one of the five scenarios I'd gotten a good, strong start in, then shelved due to inability to realistically finish it according to my vision, but that new factors such as LUA and new uses of ToTTP changed the playing field on, and that I promised publicly I would finish those five before moving on to brand new projects. It's there along with Empire of the Rising Sun, Fall of the Roman Empire, War of the Spanish Succession, and the Modern Middle East.

Sure, but I meant there are at least two other Chinese apcs you can use.

Given my scenario covers the 1990-2020 period, there is a succession of equipment in many areas, and even includes ready to release or only recently released, but not battle-tested, vehicles, like the Type 104, Armada 14, Kurgenets 25, Type 10, Su-57, J-20, F-22, and F-35. The Type 08 seems to be the biggest and most recent such upgrade over the more standard WZ551, which is the only Chinese APC I currently have that's not 1980's technology. Is there an alternative you'd suggest?

Patine, just finish a project, and use the thousands of great assets we have already.

I am going to finish a project (well, actually, another one. I did put out a fully functional Korean War scenario, as @McMonkey pointed out at the time, I just gave him pull permission to develop it into an expanded version). I'm just, due to big plans for old scenarios unfillable at the time that were then shelved because of that, and then the coming of ToTPP and LUA as solutions to those past issues, in the awkward situation I'd mentioned above in Post #1045, and several other times, recently. But, I will start no NEW projects out outside of those until something's finished, and I will settle into one of them, hopefully before too long.

Good to hear, man. There are a ton of units kindly made by fairline and tanelorn that can serve every purpose for a 2000s scenario, with minor tweaks.

My take on post-Cold War French desert (Daguet) and woodland (Europe Centrale) uniforms (see Tanelorn's post for the 1950s-80s). Personal equipment changed dramatically over this period, and it would not be unusual to see older items in service after the dates of introduction indicated. First row would roughly conform to the first Gulf War, first three on the second row to Bosnia, and the rest to more recent conflicts in Afghanistan and Mali.

OK I'm going to pull a Patine but do you think you could make a purple 1993 Ford Taurus? It won a bunch of awards.

If she does, Tanelorn owes us an S.S. Minnow. :p

And, is that a pic of your own car, there?

My best friend used to have a purple 1993 Ford Taurus he named "Purple Passion." He drove around with that like a maniac. It was the early 2000s at the time and you'd used to hear this thing squealing around the corner and then see this purple Taurus with a skull and crossbones front license plate and tacky neon purple lights in the back seat go blasting by. It's just a damn cool car!

I've owned 2 SHOs in my day but nothing will compare to that purple base model!

Nice work on the trucks, but it looks like you used the base from Erika's cats set: the headlights are in the middle of the grille. :p
