How soon should I buy it?

Edit: For Xbox 360
Edit2: Please I would like people who have played the game to vote.

if you are planning on getting it for console, now is good. i saw it for £26.99 in sainsbury's today, pretty good deal i reckon if you are interested in the multiplayer. if you are planning on getting it for pc, wait until some reviews come out about it. if you are only interested in the single player campaign, then i think i would either wait a while, or rent it for a weekend.

When they add dedicated servers.

for PC: never, or at least do not until they make it a true PC game and not a port.
cons:
-no lean feature
-$60 ridiculous for MUTLIPLAYER FAIL
-no dedicated serves: no mods, no custom settings, nothing
-9v9....The first series in this franchise I player for over 1000 hours because it was so good, 32vs32 anyone?
-IW and Activision laziness for not trying with the PC version, relying on brand name for purchases
pros: nice graphics, singleplayer can be used to vent your anger at MP by shooting everything and everyone
-SpecOps is good.

I am not buying, although I have every single COD game before this one. I will be playing Dragon Age, L4D2, among many of the other excellent games out for PC right now.

If you are getting it for console, disregard this post.

you've become quite the troll on this subject, so i will say it again:

just cause its harder doesn't mean its less fun

If so then you've been as much of a "troll" as I have. I'd like to see footage of you playing a game then, seeing as how you can't seem to understand that not everyone can use the controllers as easily and frustration-free as you can.

What? Princescamp is the troll on that topic? You've said that "just cause it's harder doesn't mean it's less fun" thing about five times in the previous thread and after 3 responses from me on how that was not even half the reason why I, and probably Princescamp, prefer to play the PC version, you still repeat that. Everybody's holding the same controller after all, so everybody has the same handicap, it's not harder, everybody just generally suck a little more, equally for everyone, than on the PC. It leads to a different play style which appeals to me much less.

Anyway, as for the current topic. Since I'm a PC user, it may take a long time before I buy it. I'd wait for a price drop, but it'll take forever. I dunno, I mean, no matter how good this game turns out to be (if it somehow is), I can't just put aside the a-holishness of the company itself. So I guess you could call it a sort of boycott. I love how the anti-boycott people (for L4D2 for instance) just assume people won't actually boycott and "they just say that" ... uh?

For X-Box, it's a little different. The game was designed for your console anyway, obviously. So if it's a good game for it, there might not be a point in boycotting it. If it's a good game compared to the rest of the XBOX games.

never have i been frustrated by console controllers. they are more difficult than mice for sure, but no less rewarding. and seeing as the OP specifically said xbox, there was no need to flame about it. just cause you don't like consoles, doesn't mean that everyone else shares your view. perhaps if you just tried playing for a few hours with a controller you'd realise that it isn't impossible, and ultimately is just as rewarding as the point-and-click adventure game that 90% of pc fps have become.

yeah, i accepted your point of view, that the difference in difficulty of aiming created different experiences. thats a valid viewpoint, one that i can totally understand. however, princescamp didn't bring any of your well made points up, simply stating and restating over and over that he didn't like it cause it was too hard for him. the exact points you have just brought up are the ones i was trying to get him to understand.

If you go on a 25 kill streak you can drop a tactical nuke on the map. My roommate had 21 kills going on a FFA game and freaked the eff out because he died. I wouldn't buy this game but I have to admit dropping nukes is cool

Good for you for not being frustrated with controllers, but that isn't everyone, nor do I think everyone else is frustrated by gamepads, but they ARE harder for people to master. I never said they were "too hard" for me, I find it frustrating and/or irritating to aim at times, one little nudge and it moves across the target to the otherside (Ie someone's head), I can do it it just doesn't feel very smooth or like I am in control sometimes.

Perhaps part of the reason some people do so well points wise in games on console is because everyone else is doing poorer than they could.

I didn't mean to flame the OP for the x-box, that was NOT my intention at all. I never said I didn't like consoles (in several months anyways), and I do like consoles, my roommate has a PS3 and I've played quite a bit on it, Rockband 2, Army of Two, Borderlands, Uncharted 1 & 2, infamous, and several other games. All were fun but aiming properly has and still is irritating at times due to using the analogue sticks, with a mouse I could easily follow an enemy's movement with less jerky-jumpingness, that is also a clear sign in gameplay videos if someone is using a console or not.

I don't recall you posting anything (or much) along those lines, it seemed to be "I don't find it a problem so nobody else should".

so what was the intention of your first post?

Assuming you mean in this thread, I meant that if he doesn't mind and can play fps games decently on the console then go right ahead, its a (x-box) console game anyways.
