It would be cool to have a "mod builder" that let's you make the fun part, not the xml or phyton part. Something like a sanbox. You know... in main menu to be a button Mod Builder :D. Or outside the game, but the idea is to have a tool easy to use.

That sounds a lot like the "world builder" feature on Civ IV. With WB you don't really need any other creator, unless it does XML and Python, but in your explaination you say "not xml or python" so thats basicly world builder.

Starcraft had a very cool campain editor, with "triggers" and all.

Welcome to the forums, grgcucu. :wavey:

What you describe certainly does sound like the World Builder in Civ 4. However, that's more of a scenario builder than a mod builder, so I'm guessing you're hoping for something different. IIRC, Civ 5 is meant to have an out of game world builder type thing, that is meant to be quite easy to use, so hopefully that facilitates easier mod building without having to know any xml or python stuff.

What he's describing is nothing like that. He means stuff like creating new civics - tedious, since you have to modify python and xml to make it beautiful, and it can get confusing. If you could just use a modifier that shows all the screens and you can modify them, it would be great. Like, click on the tech tree icon and you can add/delete new techs, click on the civics icon and you can add/delete new civics and civic options, and move the civic windows around, and stuff like that. World builder just lets you place items, change the appearance of the map, and modify diplomacy. What he is suggesting would be taking that a step further - allowing you to modify certain game mechanics without having to enter xml, python, or the cursed Computer-Type Rascist SDK.

Well yeah but they're probably not gonna put that in the game, too much work for them, it would be nice though
