Hi just got v23, I'm a longtime RoM: AND player. This looks phenomenal and a worthy heir.

I played a bit but the prehistoric era seems a bit much for me. I only play World Map and couldn't change starting era there via custom scenario, anyway to skip prehistoric?

Also I don't think I saw the feature to disable future era (I like it historical)

A quick look at the worldbuilder also showed me Animal teem the earth far from civs, perhaps this slows down the game a lot? It really seemed over the top, anyway to control spawn of barbs to be nearer people or at least reduced?

Thanks guys! Amazing work overall.

Try using 'custom game' options and then stating in a different era from the start. Its in the options on the bottom right of the custom screen.

Yes but im set on playing a preset world map :-)

I see your point, but I like all the other stuff, essentially an expanded game, but the prehistoric is just so tedious for me... This is obviously the best civ4 mod and is superior to ROM: AND.

Wait until we get the Nomad mod implemented, that will make the Prehistoric Era much more interesting, I agree with you a little that it is tedious right now.

Prehistoric is Only tedious if you are playing the slowest speeds. It is Not tedious on Marathon or Epic. And "tedious" is very subjective in this mod.

I know its subjective which is why I said to me... Anyways after several responses it seems I will have to cope hehe.

Nevertheless this mod seems absolutely fabulous! Thank you modders.

@ voltar: I pretty much feel the same way as you. Wouldn't it at least be possible to add a game option "omit future era" or sth. I think and had that, and I guess it might not be so hard to just stop the tech dev. at some point?

Oh easy just a few tens of hours work.:mischief: First make the custom game option then for each unit, tech, resource, improvement and building after that add in a ANDNOTDEPENDANCY in the XML. Also make another Future Tech which only exists if this option set. ;)

go into world editor and give everyone prehistoric techs. I don't like prehistoric either it goes for too long and there is fk all to do since your stuck on 1 city.

Play a different game speed besides Eternity for christ's sake! There's Tons to do and build and if you change to a faster speed. And leave that unnecessary City Limits Off! It's redundant now anyway and you will get a 2nd, 3rd, and more cities after tribalism is researched. And have more things to do and build.

I don't like prehistoric either
Do you know that this Mod started Off as The Prehistoric Mod! And evolved into C2C. Let's just rip the foundation out cause you don't want to adjust your play style, sheessh!

Sorry Sgtslick but sometimes.........:crazyeye:
