there was some talk going on a while ago about Mokka's Cauldron being cool but generally useless: it's only useful in border cities, but those are not the ones where you tend to build wonders in. so unless you got a spare great engineer, this one is usually a lame wonder. I remember someone suggested to make it movable like the Lyre and the Crown, and I think it's a good idea.

but, to take it one step further and make it more fun, why not make the Cauldron a piece of equipment carried by Mokka when he spawns due to Samhain? that way you get a nice reward for killing him, the same way as it works for Orthus' axe. since we got Mokka in the game now with 0.34, we might as well give him his cauldron back I guess. :D I think this would be lots of fun. if you manage to kill Mokka, you get his Cauldron and can then carry it around and drop it in cities where it will work just like it does now. ;)

the same effect could trigger even when it is still equipment carried by a unit, if you kill someone with that unit on the attack or on the defense. or maybe some other different effect if that's overpowered ;)

I agree, except that Mokka's Caudron really needs to make skeletons wiht properly adjusted strength instead of Flesh Golems.

It can be a rather useful wonder if you're losing and the enemy takes the fight to one of your central towns. I once played a game as Svartalfar then switched to Hyborem. I had the cauldron in my ex-capital city. It was a major pain to take down....
Making it movable would allow for more fun uses. Heck, let it's effect be used out in the field with a pick-up/drop spell that takes a turn. Sure, you don't get the nice death mana when it's not in a town, but what fun to be growing an army of undead at the frontlines (if you make it not build flesh golems, which seems rather odd to me too).

Good idea. There should be at least some kind of reward for killing Mokka.

BRING BACK MOKKA'S CAULDRON!

While I also support the idea of a mobile Cauldron, I want to point out that
- it might be too powerful early in the game (if you give it to Mokka as an item)
- there should be a "hold time", so that you can't move the Cauldron every turn (maybe fix it for 10 turns to the city you just dropped it in, before being able to pick it up again)

Well it should only work once per turn if used as item. Or give it some other use when picked up.

Something smaller like 1 or two turns to cast the pick-up and drop spell would be more reasonable. 10 turns is an eternity when combat is going on.

Neat idea about it being droppable, but Mokka himself might need to be beefed up if he's going to drop the equivalent of a Wonder.

The cauldron though is not useless, in my opinion. Try building it, and the Soul Forge, in some "core" Balseraph city with an Arena. It becomes a great garbage disposal for any pitifully mutated units... that is, they live, you at least get happiness, but if they die, you get happiness, hammers, and a flesh golem. From a roleplay element, I guess picture some arena tenders hustling corpses out of the bloody sands and mixing up their spare parts into some cauldron spawned monstrosity :)
