I'd love a unit/leaderhead/pcx of the year poll, but I think the rules should be modified a little. We already have trouble choosing in the monthly completions, I don't even want to imagine picking among the previous winners. Thus I recommend having 3 votes each: our first pick should be awarded with 3 points, the second with 2, and the third with one. It's not very difficult to make it work. Flamand can create the main thread, which will link to three separate threads serving as polls. The scores can be calculated and updated manually.

Oh, that really would be too complicated! A simple multiple-choice poll would be fine, I think.

Okay, is Final Fantasy really going to be the theme for the next set of unit of the month contests? Because that really limits it and I'd would like to enter my modern construction units.

I personnally am against such rules.

The monthly competition are a good motivation to get new units that can benefits different mods.

If you limit it to Final Fantasy, only the Final Fantasy mod can benefit it!

2. The competitions have a voluntary three monthly theme. Any file can participate, but files that follow the theme can participate in the three monthly theme competition. The theme for Jan-Mar 2007 is Final Fantasy.

Any file can participate, only the FF themed ones can participate in a separate "themed file" competition... I agree that otherwise itwould be far too limiting. So you can submit your construction unit, Wyrmshadow...
