According to the 2013 census, about 75% of New Zealand's population are of European descent. (In the last census, in 2006, about 67% identified as European, while 11% identified as 'New Zealander', which could explain the difference.)
"European descent" isn't strictly the same thing as "white". Barack Obama was of European descent, fr'example. But in any case, New Zealand is home to greater ethnic diversity than most countries in Europe.

Barack Obama was always a useful example for showing the false nature of white identity. When any black ancestry = black, it shows the whole thing has this twisted purity concept.

The New Zealand census has specific categories for 'mixed European/Maroi' and 'mixed other', so I think it's safe to assume that the Europeans are, well, European.
I could have changed the text, but I actually don't even know what I wanted to say, so any "correction" would actually have been a complete rework of the original post, so I decided to keep it as it is.
