more city names

hey,

i was playing the normal civ3 game yesterday, and then i got a city named washinton 2, i already had many 'new' bla bla names. is there a txt file somewhere where i can put more city names in it? then i wont have that problem no more, let me know.

I believe you can add citiy names in the editor, as for some file, that I don't know...

It's through the editor. Unlike Civ2, most of the data for the game is not in text files.

Yeah, I once played a huge map with only 8 civs (forget to turn all on). The I got "New Delhi 2". It's kinda annoying.

I just make up a name right on the spot, like McButterpantsville and such. It's totally random and whatever comes into mind.

But be aware you won't get Hall of Fame entries after adding more names!

It's on the Civilizations page. And no, the editor allows you change almost every rule and stat in the game, with just a few exceptions. You have to make sure you select Custom Rules from the top menu first though.
