More Civilisations

Modders rarely put ETAs on their civs, since if they hit any unforeseen problems that don't want to feel obliged to release an unfinished mod. New civilizations come out when they're ready, just like every other mod.

How are Oman and the Polynesia split (On that note, what civs are in the split? I'd assume the obvious Hawaii, and then Tahiti and the Maori, but beyond that I'm unsure, or is it just those three and the fourth from the Polynesia scenario that I know I'm forgetting but can't think of it's name?) coming along at the moment?

Paradise Found?

It's Tonga, Maori, Hawaii an Rapa Nui.

Have the designs for the Polynesian civs been described/teased yet, or is it gonna have to wait a little longer?

Most of the art and Lua is done, it's just a matter of some UU models, a UI model and the XML. If anyone knows a modeller willing to help out, please let me know! Leugi's still busy with RL stuff, so he's not able to do any of it for a while

I'm going through my database log to find any errors that might cause game crashes (been having so many lately because of mod errors that I'm very jumpy) and I came across this code: [872403.093] no such column: Type
[872405.578] column Type is not unique
[872405.578] While executing - 'insert into Features('Type', 'Description', 'Civilopedia', 'Movement', 'AddsFreshWater', 'PortraitIndex', 'IconAtlas') values (?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?, ?);'
[872405.578] In XMLSerializer while inserting row into table insert into Features('Type', 'Description', 'Civilopedia', 'Movement', 'AddsFreshWater', 'PortraitIndex', 'IconAtlas') with values (FEATURE_AQUIFER, TXT_KEY_FEATURE_AQUIFER, TXT_KEY_FEATURE_AQUIFER_TEXT, 1, 1, 0, NEW_TERRAIN_ATLAS_DLC, ).
[872405.578] In XMLSerializer while updating table Features from file XML/Terrain/Nazca_Features.xml.
[872405.578] column Type is not unique

I'm not sure if that's game breaking, but it probably indicates an error somewhere.

I did a search through MODS for Aquifer, and it's only coming up in the Nazca. Maybe there's a duplicate file? I found a duplicate file in DJSHenninger's Armenia for his UU, so maybe there's a similar situation here?

It's the XML file, the Nazca Features file, it's the extra one. The SQL file is already performing the functions. I deleted the XML file and played a game with the Nazca, and their UB provided fresh water to the surrounding tiles so I don't think the XML file is needed (but please test it out to be sure, I don't want to accidently break a mod).

The Sámi - Eadni

The Sámi are the indigenous people of Northern Europe; of an area of land which encompasses parts of far northern Norway, Sweden, Finland, the Kola Peninsula of Russia, and the border area between south and middle Sweden and Norway. Living off fishing, trapping and most famously, reindeer herding, they have thrived since time immemorial in the frigid cold of the north. The Sámi can be downloaded from the CivFanatics Download Database Here or the Steam Workshop Here.

The Sámi
Siida Culture - Founding cities reveals all tiles within its working radius. Cities founded on or adjacent to Snow or Tundra receive additional :c5food: Food on those tiles and claim all unclaimed resource tiles within its working radius.

Unique Unit: Boazovázzi, the Boazovázzi is the Sámi unique unit replacing the Scout. Though the Boazovázzi is a ranged unit and is weaker than the scout, it can herd resources, temporarily removing them from the game in return for return for :c5food: Food and :c5production: Production, making this unit extremely useful for growing your cities.
Unique Building: Sieidi, the Sieidi is the Sámi unique building, replacing the Temple. Rather than providing yields directly to the city, when built the Sieidi will reveal up to 3 Sieidi Improvements, each providing 2 :c5culture: Culture and :c5faith: Faith, that can be worked by the city.

Built in support for YnAEMP and I think Tomatekh's Historical Religions already has support for the Sámi.

Credits to Leugi for the Leaderscreen and help with the unit model, and to Viregel for his hard work on the Civilopedia! Many thanks to Charlatan Alley for the really nice DOM audio!

Peace theme: Berit Margrethe Oskal - "Ann-Mari luohti"
War theme: Millikin University Choir - "Pseudo-yoik" (Mäntyjärvi)

I encourage looking through the Imgur album I've linked at the end of the post above. In addition to the preview images, I explain the unique elements in a bit more detail.
