more Modern Wonders for ART

Dear all,

Overall,this version of CIV V BNW it is THE BEST so far and i m playing civ since 1992.

For BNW,i believe the modern era is lacking wonders for art:Broadway only is not enough(And Sidney Opera).

Therefore,i propose:

George's Pompidou wonder,for art(Paris)
Rock N roll wonder
Hollywood wonder(perhaps movies,or new special people,directors)

your ideas are nice,but i proposed wonders for art.these are not all for art-like 3 gorges dam.

Yeah, but one subject gets old after awhile. While it can be fun to think of ideas like radio city music hall that can get, I don't know, gold per turn from great works of music, it can be just as fun to think of ideas for the space needle, which can maybe generate science from tourism, or something like that. Or the World Trade Center, which can affect trade routes. More wonders in general would be nice, as long as they have fun and unique bonuses.

The only new late game wonder for art I could see is the Bilbao Guggenheim Museum which could be unlocked with Globalization. I can't think of any other important Modern Era works of art, Hollywood for example I think can't really be added unless they add some new late game culture techs such as Film and Mass Media and so forth... which I think they are unlikely to do.

Yeah, but even that is pretty much just another museum. Is there anything interesting that you can think of that isn't done by half of the new wonders already?

There's an interesting point that Television isn't highlighted as an important technology/building/universal effect, since the transmission of images around the globe to living rooms seems like it'd be almost as great an effect as the implementation of Radio.

That said... What about a national wonder for Music?
Or a National Archaeological Museum for artefacts?

On another note, how about a couple of one-slot wonders which offer bonuses when filled with artefacts/great works? (Sort of like Assyria's Royal Library UB, but as a World Wonder.)

Another interesting arty wonder could be The Crystal Palace. Perhaps as a reward for the greatest contributor to the World's Fair project?

The Pompidou center would be nice, but...let's be frank here, Paris has enough Wonders in it.

Rock and Roll is a silly wonder. I get that a lot of wonders are abstract, but it feels silly to be making use of mines and workshops to construct a kind of music. Plus it's...not really that much of a wonderous thing.

Hollywood would be interesting with the Great Works system. I could see it as something that combines usage of Art, Music, and Writing - fitting because movies make use of visuals, sound, and plot in combination. Maybe the wonder itself gets immense tourism for one of each of those works from the same era, or maybe even does something interesting - put one of each in, and it combines them into a Great Work of Cinema that works basically like a super-work giving loads of tourism and culture. Of course this probably merits some sort of Movie Theater building or something, and the ability to trade Great Works for other things. Or maybe other people could also create movies, but with Hollywood you gain Tourism and Culture for everyone else's Movie Theaters, which fits since you'd be making most of those movies anyway. I dunno, it'd be a little complicated and require a whole new system of Great Work interface for something that mostly kicks in at the Modern or Atomic era.
