Double the movement of each land unit, and also double the movement cost of each land terrain feature. For example, Samurai now move two, but Grassland cost 2 so Samurai still move only one.

BUT, every unit now has (possible) retreat abilities! This means that outflanking and maneuvering are much more important - attacking with a "spearhead" like the normal strategy will quickly get you outflanked.

Oh by the way, you'll need to halve road movement to either 2 or 1.
 
I don't quite follow your logic, could you explain alittle more??? I always triple the movement of modern ships, but I always thought land units were set up fairly well.
 
he means EVERY unit can now retreat from a battle (like mounted and tanks etc.....)and still can move normal good idea but it will be hard since now for every map you must change rules manually:mad:
 
if you give retreat to every unit that means you dont get retreat for any units at all.

this is highly unlogical

if you forget fast units attacking fast units can not retreat thus if you give the fast unit ability to every unit then they can't retreat.
