I wouldnt feel embaressed asking Utah Jazz for a prop (soft hat) the way you have shown you can follow his tutorial I'm sure he would be happy to help out.

A simple soft-cap would only take a few minutes to model, I'd imagine. So, I could put one together. I would just need a pm with a picture from Mosca, saying that he'd use it. :)

I've finished the afrikakorps, check it here.

Although i am also interested in what your settings are for the Gunflash light as well.... I normally (for my more modern gun units) just set the diffusion and specularity of the gunflash prop itself fairly high, so that it shows up bright even in shadow, which give the illusion of it being lit (but you don't get the back-flash on the figure, though).
I use the same tip, changing the diffusion and specularity of the muzzle. I also add a flash light, I could send you the poser light, if you want it PM me.

You're very kind, thanks a lot. It's a very simple model, I'm going to prepare some documentation and send you the PM. For sure I'll use it for, at least, two units.
Un saludo

Great Job on the Afrika Korp Moska the new attack is suburb. Thanks Utah somehow I knew you would help out! This so great finally some real flavour for the Germans is coming out I look forward to seeing an Alpine Korp.

Thanks but, in my opinion, the art of kinboat and utahjazz is better than mine, and they've done a lot of units (a lot!), I've been using their units for years.

Mosca, you should submit your units to the Monthly Competitions Thread, your units might win you the title of Unit-Maker of the Month.
That's cool, I want to win a cup!! but I can submit only a unit, which is the best?

I have a request.

A penal battalion unit.

video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaTLvS07qrY&eurl=

standard russian trooper armed with a PPSH.. with an NKVD officer standing behind him. For the death the officer shoots the soldier.

That's a great idea for a unit, I plan to do a russian unit, that could be tricky, once I finish the actual projects I'll plan the next ones.
Your units ideas are amazing and very difficult, that's good.

Hi,
Utahjazz'd finished the german soft cap, I've tested it with a skin and it's perfect! :king:
The previews:

Thanks Utahjazz.
This isn't the model in going to use with the cap. I plan a more classical grenadier. Now I'm busier at the job, but I hope I could finish another unit this week. (zombie or grenadier).

Mosca... are you taking requests?

OMG that is perfect I cant wait to see the completed unit. Also I second Wyrms request with one possible addition if you could make a work animation where he is using a shovel.

By now I only plan to do modern units, once I've finished the current projects I'll plan the further ones. I also plan to do a standar shovel animation in order to use it in several projects.

What is Nina, Pinta, and, Alex?

Santa Maria means Saint Mary, it's also a old expresion equivalent to "My God". The roman catholics like to swear to Saint Mary better than to God.
It's also one of the Colon's carabels La Pinta, La Niña y La Santa Maria.

Yeah, thanx for being a protestant Goldy
