i have to agree with those talking about auto-unit selection by the game. no Civ... you do not know what unit is best for me to move, thnx. it's definitely a 'little thing' and it's something the devs should have taken out a trillion years ago and is ridiculous

Oh yeah. If I was playing multiplayer this would be easy #1 on my list. I'll have my camera on a huge battle with tons of units involved, but as soon as my turn starts my view gets moved halfway across the map to a worker. Meanwhile, my units are getting spam-clicked into oblivion. Garbage.

"Opponent founds city right before your settler arrives"

Uh, yeah, pretty sure that falls under the category of 'Big Thing'.

Settler for sure. 1) Because they're grabbing a spot that's ideal for me, meaning they're forward settling in my land instead of in their own and 2) because the only way to deal with it is to ask them not to settle and take a large permanent diplo penalty and most of them just refuse anyway, or go to war and trash the city. Early warmongering trashes your production, pulls you off the NC fast track, ruins your rep, and is in general a pain. Particularly with certain civs with strong early games, it becomes nearly impossible to uproot them once they're there (Rome, Greece, Persia, etc)

Edit: Wanted to add when civs hit religions late and start prophet spamming, particularly the ones who don't understand that my borders are a priest-free zone, so I have to either play games boxing them in or declare. Last game Persia must've sent 15 missionaries through my borders, some hitting my cities, some targeted at other civs' cities following my religion. Had I not had complete ability to counter, that would've been justification for war, imo.

I thought this was a peeve list, so I voted wrong. I mean “minor annoyances” don’t fills me with the Civ-rage. Which items from the list would you either quit the game or reload a save for? If you would reload a save, how far back would you go?

When I am playing above my ability, if I lose a wonder, I will go back to the save where I started building it. The settler thing is probably a reload too, back to when he spawned, to send him someplace else. Losing a worker to a barb is a reload, but just one turn. The others I would probably just play through.

For me, the more interesting question would be: What’s the most annoying thing that won’t cause you to rage quit (or reload)?

Wonder complete with one or two turns left.

Settler arriving just before me is also annoying but this can be solved by conquering and razing city. :c5razing:

Voted other for someone stealing sacred sites (i think thats what its called, the one where you get tourism for each religious building). RAGE!!!! Knowing that you can't get it. Ever. Makes me want to purge them from the map entirely.

I use to not reload or rage quit. So, it's hard to answer.

In poll list, ruins stolen are annoying but not enough to quit or reload.

One really annoying, sometimes which means I'll loose is Ideologies. When I'm late, literacy and few happiness, I take Ideologies I plan AI will take. When I realize AI always make choice to annoy you, I'm a little bit desperate and inclined to give up.
Some example : went to Order and world went for Freedom. Went for Autocracy and world went for Order.
Despite this, I never reload to Ideologies pick turn.

It's situational. If I'm off to a tepid start, not a lot of luxuries around, and someone takes a good wonder right before I get there, yeah, restart.

But if I'm rolling, economy is dug in, war machine is moving and someone takes a wonder, I just vow to raze every one of their cities to the ground.

voted other; how when i try to move a unit more than one tile at a time the AI makes it do stupid things. like instead of sailing up the coast (to get around the mountain chain it would encounter if on the narrow land up the west coast of south america) only for it to disembark onto land to go to the block then embark, then go around....thus taking 4 or 5 turns what should have been done in 2 or 3 at most. i even helpfully clicked on the sea at the end of the mountain chain blocking the coast, rather than the eventual land destination in north america and it STILL turned 90 degrees right and went on the land, using all its move to go one space the wrong direction! aaaaaargh! so now i have to move all units one hex at a time just to avoid screaming at the laptop lol.
