I was just wondering what everyones opinion on certain AI players is? The two AI i hate most are Genghis Khan:mad: , because he will never stop attacking me, and Washington, because he can get such a powerful tech lead.

I hate Napoleon because he's always on my case.
Montezuma can't be trusted. Ever.
Catherine in my current game hates me guts (-18).

The only leaders/Civs I usually have good relations with are Washington, Isabella and either leader for the Mongols.

Where´s the poll? ;)

I don´t like the leader of Mali, because he can´t be trusted, same goes for Caesar and especially Isabella. Sooner or later they will try to invade me, no matter how good orur relations were before.

I normally have good relations to the americans and trust them to a great extent (no matter if Washington or Roosevelt is the leader)

There's a poll somewhere. I think Isabella was leading. Montezuma and Tokugawa were also high, the rest were far behind.

In all previous versions of Civ, I always had problems with the French...

until I found a solution.... :nuke: :nuke: :nuke: :nuke:

In Civ IV, I'd say Isabella and Montezuma tend to be the biggest pains. :ar15:

Bloody Montezuma always starting right next to me, except in my latest game where he starts off right next to Japan, those should get on like a house on fire

This might sound strange , but I like being next to Monezuma or Alexender > that way they start a war with me first and I dont look bad to the other AI instead if I started a war.

Just let them throw those useless and stupid attacks at you , you have the defensive advantage anyway on your own soil. Then once they start running out of troops hit them hard with a counter attack. Works everytime , suddenly they're wanting peace after I've captured their most productive and close city right on my border.

I dont like AI that will never attack , because then if you start a war , you get the red minus - 'you attacked our friend' from everyone else.

I hate all of the smart AIs. The aggresive ones are usually backwards technologically so I just laugh when they declare war on me with their ancient units.

Any of the Creative civs; I hate it when I built a city 50 turns ago, and they plop one down right on my borders and steal away a resource in it's radius. A 10-culture city shouldn't be able to take resources away from a 200-culture city...

I can't stand Catherine, not for any gameplay reason as none have really stood out as being more annoying than another but because she slaps you during trade. I consider this completely out of character for Civ and for leaders in general.

Actually I'm pretty annoyed by the entire affair, the motions they make are too short in cycle and thus become very repeative, very quick.

Also Cathy is too Tomb Raider-ish. The 90s called Firaxis, they want their fat lips back, also all those boys grew up and are now playing GTA, not Civ give it another 10 years. :P

You guys are crazy. I've been attacked in ONE game by Ghengis, and it was mostly due to me boxing him in with aggressive settling. He's usually my best or second best ally.

On the other hand, Tokugawa and Isabella are ALWAYS beligerant. They never play a smart game, and never win (okay, Isabella dominated the big continent in one game). They usually war too much, and get attacked by a second nation which leaves them with few cities.

Isabella is a pain, because she will always attack sooner or later, and she's usually not the Civ I want to attack... :D

Alexander, Montezuma and Isabella tend to be pains in my buttocks every game they're in.

Montezuma. I snarl every time I find out that he is in my game .. which has been every single game thus far. I don't believe I have ever had him anything but annoyed or furious with me.

Napoleon. I really hate him. He is always a crappy little civ with an over-exaggerated sense of his own might. I have had a lot of fun destroying him.

I cannot stand Montezuma or Isabella... which makes it all the more enjoyable when i mop up the continent with them with my Praetorians.

Before Praetorians go obsolete, I usually can dispatch both Monty and 'bella, which makes the mid-game much more enjoyable...

something I like to do, though... if I really don't like a civ and I'm tired of him/her being in my games - the next game I play, I play AS that civilization and then I don't have to deal with them (myself?)...

the one game I played as Montezuma was on small/pangea (on warlord (yeah, I'm a n00b still)) and I rolled over everyone and won a conquest victory in the 14th century.
