Well, I was thinking not of Aristotle's own concept of "influence", but of the scholastic one, which was based upon Aristotle's understanding of substance and quality rather than upon his notion of power. I'd also be wary of assuming no Aristotelian influence upon Firmicus. But thanks for the information. (And information is definitely peripatetic!)
