I currently have a USB MS laser trackball mouse thats been trouble from day one. Now its decided to lose connectivity randomly, and I have to constantly keep plugging it back in for a few minutes of use at a time. Its driving me nuts. I really like the trackball type of mouse, but I refuse to ever buy another MS model. Im going to tommorow to get a new one, can someone recommend a good trackball mouse? The best one I ever had was a logitech one but I cant find them anymore.

BTW, I had to plug the mouse back in 3 times just during this post:mad:

Does it have any batteries to malfunction? Alternatively, the drivers might be unloading for some odd reason. This happens to my modem sometimes - it just switches off, and I have to reconnect it to make Windows reload the drivers

Logitech are good though. Razor are perhaps better, but I do not know if they make a trackball.

No, no batteries. All of a sudden, the light on it turns off, as if it wasnt plugged in. Im thinking that it might be a problem I could fix if I could open it up and look inside, but there doesnt seem to be a way of opening it without destroying it (which I'll gleefully do when I get back tommorow with the new one).

I was starting to think logitech went out of business. I read something about them being bought by another company. This looks very much like the one I had. Id order it online but I cant put up with the current one for another few days (also noticed its out of stock:sad: )
