[GS] Move Great Works

Seems like this must have been asked before but my searches came up empty. I've got a lot of cities with a lot of cultural buildings, way more than will fit on one screen of the "Organize Great Works" dialog. How do I move a work from one page of the display to another? If I grab the work and move to the edge, the screen doesn't scroll. It doesn't seem to want to allow me to select a work without dragging it, but as soon as I let go it drops it, so I can't manually scroll the screen. The best I've been able to come up with is dragging from one spot to another, shift the display, drag to another spot, etc. The last move I made took four exchanges for each work.

This optimizing for "theming" is already complicated enough. With this on top it's like they've purposely went out of their way to make this far more difficult than it need be.

There is an option in the game options to change it from drag-drop to pick up and put down. That's the only way I know.

You should be able to hold the work with the left mouse button and scroll the screen with the mouse wheel. Alternatively, as said above, you can disable the drag-and-drop system in the options. This will also apply to policy cards, though.

Thanks, I never noticed that option. Found a few others I'd overlooked too.

Yeah you have to switch the option. Also, they really need to add a drop down filter so I can for example only see buildings that hold relics or only see buildings that hold artifacts.

There's a mod that organizes the great work buildings by type rather than city. So first all the temples, then all the art museums, then all the archeological museums, etc. It's a must have mod, really. It's called Great Works Viewer.

I've never had much luck with mods. Part of it, I'm sure, is because I'm running Linux, but every time I've tried a mod or even an add-on map something has gone seriously wrong. Just yesterday I tried to install the YnAMP maps and it hung trying to put up the main menu. I had to kill the process and delete the map pack.
