MP Game - RewriteHistory - 18civ EARTH map historical start position

I'd like to replace adyyc, I need login data so i can catch up!

i assume i need to register leader at civstats also?

When i try to register the leader at civstats, Asoka does not come up as available.??? any ideas??

EDIT: I got into the game just fine :D, hope there are no issues with not registering at civstats , maybe i dont need to as the previous leader was already registered.

I think Adrian will need to click "unregister" on civstats.

Once he does, the registration password to claim your leader is the same as the game one.

Zen was the original host that set this all up. Maybe he has the password and the administrative ability to kick adrian off.

the original account that i set the game up in was BTS-earth password history. BUT I have been unable to login to it for ages. presumably some one else is using it (since in my ignorance i published the password in this thread as I didn't know how civstats worked at the time I set the game up.)

I think I have a strange bug in the game. My city has been stuck at growing (1 turn) for at least three turns. The production has been stuck as well. I used slavery to whip up some walls. Does that freeze everything in your city? I thought it just reduced the population and raised the unhappiness level.

did you maybe accidentally click the "avoid growth" button in the city manager? Pitboss seems to make it extra-easy to misclick stuff, as sometimes you can't tell what you did (while another player is joining)

You may have had a slave revolt or something as well. Again, easier to miss in MP, check the turn log.

I just tried to check, but I couldn't connect. Avoid Growth would make sense. Perhaps I had it set before and forgot to change it after the whipping. However, this doesn't explain the lack of production. A revolt only happens for one turn right? This has been going on for at least three, maybe 4 turns.

if you get the revolt event and pick the last option, the revolt can happen for multiple turns. That would both prevent growth and hold your production until it finished.

you get a popup with it, and 3 choices (you need gold for one of them). something like.
1. 1 unhappy, -2 pop, 1turn revolt
2. 1 unhappy, -1pop, costs about 10gold
3. 1turn revolt, may continue (may continue=pretty likely to continue for a few turns)

Could someone please give me a run down on the rules during war time for player movement in this game? Specifically, if at war, I assume there are no double moves, or at least some sort of time window in which double moves are not allowed. All other issues with registering leaders, passwords, etc....have been resolved! Thanks R1

EDIT: 1 more thing, what is the deal with open borders? There appears to be a neighbors scout in my territory, and it does not appear like we currently have an open borders agreement. I'm going to start digging through this thread for answers, but it is pretty substantial.

3. 1turn revolt, may continue (may continue=pretty likely to continue for a few turns)

I've had it end in 1 turn before, although I think the average is 2... so sometimes 3 or more.

I'm glad I haven't got this event yet, although I have had four forest fires and a road washed out :/. I had one pretty good event to compensate though.

Open borders works the same as single-player. If there is units from another civ in your territory, either you have open borders, or you are at war.

And yes, we have a double-move rule. I don't know that it was ever officially defined beyond "double moving is bad", but turns have been reloaded to correct it (including one that eliminated me from the game).

Maintain turn order with your war opponents (including the turn prior to declaring), and give them an opportunity (generally at least half the turn timer, 10hrs or so) to move, and everything should be fine. If you are forced to double-move (due to real-life scheduling or something), its best to post that.

@ Elkad, you just moved before me this turn, after me the previous turn? I'm not sure how battles are actually fought under simultaneous turns. This is my 1st pitboss game. :D Are u "allowed" to do that or not since we are at war.

As to the scout in my territory, the diplo screen says no open borders, and we are NOT at war, and yet there that little bugger is, scoping out my dirt!

EDIT: I just finished reading the WHOLE thread! Sorry Elkad, I actually moved before you when I took over, and you should be moving first every turn since it appears this war has been continuous since it began. I think I'm up to speed on all counts, if I'm not, I'm sure oyzar will let me know!!!!:lol:
