This expansion was just released a few days ago. Has anyone played it yet? Would you recommend it?

Well, I just got VI, and I must say it's an improvement. The new campaign that lets you fight for control of the British Isles a lot like the original Shogun: Total War and less complicated than dominating Europe. Diplomacy is less important, and fighting is more important. It's closer to the true spirit of Total War.
Calgacus, I agree with you, diplomacy in MTW can be extremely annoying. Too many diplomatic units, they should just have priests, assassins, and emissaries. My provinces always tend to become literally covered in foreign agents who seemingly perform no function.
Oh yeah! There are at least 50, I didn't make an exact count (Norway, Denmark, and Normandy are also included). The Old English/Celtic names are used, so everything is hard to spell and pronounce. There's also a multitude of factions with which you can use to achieve domination. There's the Saxons, Welsh, Northumbrians, Vikings, Scots, Picts, Irish, and rebels.Originally posted by calgacus
Are there more provinces for the British Isles now?
I must confess that i've done this before. Usually I don't, as it's very time consuming and it's more fun to fight them in battle. Sometimes if a faction is Island-bound with a navy preventing me from invading, then i'll launch an assassin attack, but this rarely happens.Originally posted by Dell19
Apparently Assassins are now more powerful which is unfortunate as I have friends who will build around 10 assassins and then order them to attack enemy Kings at the same time, so that they will be successful with one assassin and then they can kill any new king until the enemy nation collapses into rebels.
