Multi-player Mayhem

How many of you have played multi-player over the Net?

I've never done it but hope to soon - I just worry about the length of the game as it would take a lot of organising to get a time when 2 or 3 players can arrange 2 or 3 hours to play.

What sort of a game do you get? is it harder? I'd imagine it's be som much more fun than playing the AI.

Cheers for the offers, I'd like to get into the Multi Playing at some point, just at the moment I've nowhere near enough time. Probably more in the summer, so you never know - I could be whipping you lot within months!

Since the game is usually set at King level, you don't have to worry about disorder as much as under Diety. As for the rest, it depends on who is playing. If you play against good people(such as eyes) it is very challenging. I can hold my own in an MP game though.

So far I've only played Civ 2 MP over LAN's, but I must admit, it's very refreshing when you've only played against the AI so far. One of these days when I manage to get me some spare time I'm gonna have to try my hand at an internet game too, though I have no doubts as to wether I will get my butt kicked or not...

Well I have yet time to play my first multiplayer game, though I've had tons of offers from the ICQ Activelist 115159604. But hopefully work will have a more consistent schedule and free time more consistent too so that I can start learning... But I would think a LAN game more fun, being able to swear at the bastard who just killed your explorer, or throwing a stuffed animal or cheeseburger at him, just seems like a more interactive enviroment;-) Off-Topic everytime I hear about good multiplayers Eyes of Night comes up is she that good? Is there anyone with a decent record against her?
