Multiplayer against computer controled civs may allow to increase speed ?

Just an idea,

supose we have 4 computers, 3 of them with only computer controled civs, the last with the human player. Let's assume that the 4 computers are playing a 'multiplayer' game. From the point of view of the human player, it would seem as if he where playing against the computer, but maybe much faster as each computer only controls 1 of each 4 computer controled civs.

Or with a multicore computer, with the half of computer controled civs running on a detached virtual machine, then the real machine playing against the virtual one.

I don't know if this is technically possible, but it would be nice if you could use n computers to get any speed up. ( at least while n < number of civs )
 
The network would be the weak link.
