Yesterday I was trying to test multiplayer and a joined a few games.

The most used option is Simultaneous Move. I understand that:
- at the beginning of each turn the units are moved (that had a Goto-command);
- you can move waiting units.
This all must happen in a limited time (visible in the green bar at the right top of your screen).

After that the tilde after your name (visible at right top) disappears. You can only move units with movepoints left (fortified or sentried) and you can check cities and do some management there.

This all is clear. But the combat system is less clear. If you have an Archer and the enemy has a Spearman, then it does matter whoe attacks first... but the moves are simultaneously. If the Spearman attacks the Archer the combat can be different (chance of successful attack or chance of dying) from when the Archer attacks the Spearman.

How do al this work? I believe it is different from a multiplayer turn based game, and from a singleplayer game.
